Barry, Mamer Mountain Wind was a goodie. Thanks for the introduction, London. Incidentally, I loved The Lady of Shallot.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. "the jester's " Sign on the Window is one that I don't know either. Thanks for the memory.

Speaking of memory, here are two songs that talk about Yesterday.

First, Neil.

@Rockhead,
Welcome back, Rock Wow! I didn't know Jim Morrison was a poet. The Colourgreen was quite sad, and leads me to believe that he may have suffered from bipolar disorder. It's an inherited gene and often happens to creative people. I did a quick check, and found out that an autopsy was never done on the kid. Thanks for introduction, buddy.

So many people have done this song, but I was surprised to find out that Dusty had done it. Another taken from us too soon.

edgar, that didn't sound like Bobby Darin, but it was a goodie, of course.

Welcome back Barry. I had no idea that Dusty's nom de plume was Mary O'Brien.

Another James Bond movie. Great! I guess we all agree that Sean Connery was the best.

Today is Tanya Roberts birthday. I vaguely remember Charlie's Angels, but more synchronicity, Barry. She was in the James Bond movie View to a Kill.

I loved The Beast Master but I don't recall her in it.

edgar, I like Boy George doing Kiss Me Blind. Don't know that one by him. Didn't know that he'd quit singing, however.

Hey, Brit, you hurry back. Tommy Steele's version of Singing the Blues was great, but I recall it best by Marty Robbins and Hank Williams, Jr.

The Boss, of course, is always great as was Brilliant Disguise.

Time for me to say goodnight as well, and here is "the singing bus driver" with another James Bond movie.

Also love this one by him.

edgar, thanks again for your comment and your goodnight song by Jerry Lee was great. Love Goodnight Irene.

Love your morning song as well, but I don't know I Went to the Dance by that group. Good one and hurry back.

hbg, Welcome back. Strange, I don't know that Good Morning by the fab four. Thanks for the introduction, Ontario via Germany.

I awakened last evening and TCM was doing an old move called San Francisco starring Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy and Jennette McDonald. Wish I could have watched it all, but if any of you are interested there is a trailer about the terrible earthquake.

Today is Oscar Wilde's birthday so here is a tribute to him.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back to you as well, Barry, and you sent me searching again.

Chris Knight (born June 24, 1960) is a singer and songwriter from Kentucky. He only recently came to national attention, but has written songs for Confederate Railroad, John Anderson, and Randy Travis among others. He is best known for writing the hit Montgomery Gentry song "She Couldn't Change Me" and because of his particular fame in Texas, was named an "Honorary Texan" by Texas Governor Rick Perry.

In the meantime, Chris, Ain't We Got Fun?

@edgarblythe,
Yep, edgar, Oscar and his Wilde Wilde Ways.

Love The Judds' Grandpa Tell Me About the Good Old Days.

And Peggy sings Ain't We Go Fun. (too bad that the economic conditions are reflected in her song.)
