edgar, Indian Rope Man really caught my interest. Don't know the group nor the performers. Thanks for the introduction and the comment.

hbg, The Sax Band by those four talented gals will cause me never to stereotype again. Thanks, buddy.

Strange about Cornel Wilde. Once I saw that movie by him, I went searching and found out how many fantastic movies he had done, Chopin being one.

It's Paul Simon's birthday, and here is one by the duo when they were together, that I like. Leonard Cohen read it as a poem.

@edgarblythe,
That guy was fantastic, edgar. Love No Woman No Cry. Tried to find some info about that Eurasian, but not much luck.

Well, I think most of us know Marie, and today is her birthday.

Olive Marie Osmond (born October 13, 1959) is an American singer, actress, doll designer, and a member of the show business family The Osmonds. Although she was never part of her family's singing group, she gained success as a solo country music artist in the 1970s and 1980s. Her best known song is a cover of the country pop ballad "Paper Roses." In 1976, she and her singer brother Donny Osmond began hosting the TV variety show Donny & Marie.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, edgar. You sent me searching again.

Love Affair was a London based pop, soul, R&B group formed in 1966. The group had several UK Singles Chart Top 10 hits, including the number one success "Everlasting Love".

One Road was great and thanks for the introduction.

Funny, you inspired me to play this one. Just found out that the movie was An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. Didn't see it, but loved the theme.

@edgarblythe,
Great "squeeze box" version of an oldie, edgar. Didn't know it, but it made me think of Edith Piaf. It still amazes me what a talent that dear lady was.

Was I ever surprised to find out that she had done this one.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Loved Donnie Brooks Mission Bells. It rather reminded me of When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano. My older sister told me that my brother sang that one too.

Budd Holly's Crying, Waiting, Hoping was good as well.

Thanks to our edgar, I finally understand the resolution of the old movie that I saw the other night called The Uninvited. I always thought the Stella by Starlight came from A Streetcar Named Desire. It didn't. I came from that old movie, so I'm saying goodnight with Johnny doing that lovely song.

Glad that hbg was with us today, and hope that euroGeorge is okay. So glad that our Prince Gautam is.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

edgar, thanks for your comment, and Elvis' Hawaiian Wedding Song was great.

hbg, enjoyed all your songs, but "Shamus' Begley and Tim Edey was one of my favorites. Love Irish music, Ontario.

Awakened to the movie about Alexander the Great with Richard Burton. Here is the trailer.

@hamburgboy,
hbg, it rained here as well, but it didn't last long. Loved that one by Jane, and thanks for the quote by e.e. What a poet.

Also watched Billy Budd by Heman Melville. I think most of us know he represented Jesus.

A fun rain song:

Cummings could be incredibly gentle and sensitive.
Now, a story instead of a song.
