Good early morning from here in Florida, WA2K folks.

edgar, I never had a vinyl by Marty. Just heard him on TV. Love Ray's One Mint Julep and Bert's Wonderland by Night.

hbg, Ah, In a Persian Market was so lovely. Mr. Aker knows how to do it right.

Also loved Bert's Tootie Flutie. Never heard The fab four's Ticket to Ride. Thanks for the memory.

Brandon, Welcome back. Good to see you on WA2K radio.

Starting off the day with a birthday guy, yawl.

B.B.King. What a talent.

@hamburgboy,
Welcome back, hbg. Loved both those German songs, buddy, especially the second one where Bill looks like a sheik.

The polka one was great as well.

Here are a couple of songs to match your Ramsey man.

First, Wade in the water replete with lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyNRmZiRd9g&feature=related

Wade in the water.
Wade in the water, children.
Wade in the water.
God's gonna trouble the water.

Well, who are these children all dressed in red?
God's a-gonna trouble the water
Must be the children that Moses led
God's a-gonna trouble the water.

Chorus

Who's that young girl dressed in white
Wade in the Water
Must be the Children of Israelites
God's gonna trouble the Water.

Chorus

Jordan's water is chilly and cold.
God's gonna trouble the water.
It chills the body, but not the soul.
God's gonna trouble the water.

Chorus

If you get there before I do.
God's gonna trouble the water.
Tell all of my friends I'm coming too.
God's gonna trouble the water.

Now, to match your sailing, Maiden Voyage.

The Sailor's Hornpipe

( we seem to be in a sailing mood this morning )

Quote:
Oh, a sailor's life is
The life for me
How I love to sail o'er
The bounding sea
And I never, never,
Ever do a thing about the weather
For the weather never
Ever does a thing for me!

Oh, a sailor's life is the life for me
Tiddle-ee-um pom pom
Deedle dum dum dee...

Morgan, Welcome back. Ah, I miss dancing. Robin's Show me Love was a good one.

hbg, Loved all of your sailing songs, but my favorite was the trio doing The Highland Fling. Thanks for your comments, buddy.

euro, Milkcow blues was one by the king that I didn't know. Thanks for the memory.

Frank's Learning the Blues, as edgar noted, didn't play here, but I listened to the song that was played in America.

edgar, rub a dub dub three men in a tub by Hank was priceless.

I love Rudyard Kipling's stories, especially The Jungle books. Read most of them as a kid. Tried to get Sabu's Sailing song from The Thief of Bagdad but we would have had to watch the whole move. I did find the lyrics, however.

I want to be a sailor,
Sailing out to sea.
No plowboy, tinker, tailor's,
Any fun to be.

Aunts and cousins,
By the baker's dozens,
Drive their men to sea,
Or highway robbery.

I want to be a bandit,
Can't you understand it?
Thr sea is life for me,
Is life for me.

Here's a surprise. Jim Croce doing Gunga Din.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your comment on Gunga Din, edgar.

Don't know The Way Love Is by Bobby, but I did hear him mention Gunga.

Also enjoyed The Kingston Trio doing Red River Shore. Rather reminded me of Red River Valley.

Here's a surprise, yawl. It's this lady's birthday, and she's still with us.

@Rockhead,
Welcome back, Rocky John. Razz Love that guitar playing Leo. He makes it sound as though it is a train. Don't know him, so once again thanks for the introduction.

I was reminded of this on by edgar, so think that I'll play Marty doing two different versions of Red River Valley.
