@George,
Latin George, Welcome back. Love The Lion Sleeps Tonight by Rockapella.

Somehow, this song appeared to me out of nowhere.

@Rockhead,
Funny, Rock. Latin George, please don't pound our Rock. Razz

Love Old Blue Eyes' World on a String. That's Life is good by him as well.
Speaking of Nowhere.

Charlie "bird" Parker played this one for all of us on WA2K.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHNei7jNnZQ

and here are the lyrics.

You came to me from out of nowhere,
you took my heart and found it free.
Wonderful dreams, wonderful schemes from nowhere
made every hour sweet as a flower for me.

If you should go back to your nowhere,
leaving me with a memory,
I'll always wait for your return out of nowhere,
hoping you'll bring your love to me.

@alex240101,
alex, Welcome back to you as well. You sent me searching again.

Rodrigo y Gabriela, also known as "Rod y Gab", are a Mexican musical duo who specialize in playing fast, rhythmic acoustic guitars. The duo's members are Rodrigo Sánchez, lead guitar, and Gabriela Quintero, rhythm guitar.

That was a fabulous song, buddy. Happy September to you, too.

Want to dance, Alex?

Hal David, the Oscar-winning, Grammy-winning lyricist who in the 1960s and ’70s gave pop music vernacular the questions “What’s It All About?,” “What’s New, Pussycat?,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” and “What Do You Get When You Fall in Love?,” died on Saturday in Los Angeles. He was 91.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, you sent me searching again.

Harold Lane "Hal" David is an American lyricist. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York. David is best known for his collaborations with composer Burt Bacharach.

I know every one of those songs. RIP Hal

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First La Paloma.

Now, Marty.

Well, at least we had a super mix on Friday, but it seems that today has been Mexican day, thanks to Alex. Where's Poncho?

@edgarblythe,
Goodnight, edgar. Didn't know Queen Jane by "the jester". Good one. Thanks again for your comments.

Heard from Ursula and she said that the sky there was overcast, and the weather not good.

This one is for her.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urrel7jWuOw

And, the lyrics.

No moon at all, what a night
Even lightning bugs have dimmed their light
Stars have disappeared from sight
And there's no moon at all

Don't make a sound, it's so dark
Even Fido is afraid to bark
What a perfect chance to park
And there's no moon at all

Should we want atmosphere
For inspiration, dear
One kiss will make it clear
That tonight is right
And bright moonlight might interfere

No moon at all up above
This is nothing like they told us of
Just to think we fell in love
When there's no moon at all

A sleepless night for me because no one on my street is home, and I was afraid that I would choke again from allergies.

I would like to edit our radio transcript to read, "...inspired by Ursula..."

Also glad to know that Latin George is alright as well as George ob 1. Still concerned about euroGeorge, however.

An birthday guy for today.

I believe the reason for my allergies is due to the large white mushroom spores that are thriving outside our studio.

@edgarblythe,
He was in The Matrix, edgar. Don't recall one thing about that movie, however.

Thanks for restoring our signal, and although I know That's My Desire, I don't recall Hadda Brooks.

Here's another birthday man. First some info.

@Rockhead,
Thanks, Rock; however, you sent me searching as I couldn't see the visuals too well.

Thomas A. Anderson is a man living two lives. By day he is an average computer programmer and by night a hacker known as Neo. Neo has always questioned his reality, but the truth is far beyond his imagination. Neo finds himself targeted by the police when he is contacted by Morpheus, a legendary computer hacker branded a terrorist by the government. Morpheus awakens Neo to the real world, a ravaged wasteland where most of humanity have been captured by a race of machines that live off of the humans' body heat and electrochemical energy and who imprison their minds within an artificial reality known as the Matrix. As a rebel against the machines, Neo must return to the Matrix and confront the agents: super-powerful computer programs devoted to snuffing out Neo and the entire human rebellion.

Now I recall the movie. Thanks for the memory jog.

Today is Mark Harmon's birthday and I don't remember one thing about him. He did star in St. Elsewhere, however. I recall themes better than the plot.

I watched every episode of St Elsewhere. I found the storylines near the end straining for outrageousness, but generally enjoyed it just the same.
I did not see the Matrix.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic song by Judy, edgar. Wild flowers are still my favorite blossoms.

Well, I appreciate everyone's contributions here on WA2K radio, I'm going out to eat tonight, so hope yawl will continue to keep us on the air.

Here's one that my Mamma loved, and I have the little box that I gave her so long ago.

Hal David wrote great lyrics for all those Bacharach songs. Let's not forget that he also wrote the lyrics for Louis Armstrong's last hit:
