Well, the Michael Jackson story reads like a piece from The Onion. I think his real life (and death) story is odd enough, without adding lies.
hbg and euro's music is purty good. Razz

Ah, hbg, I loved "the pleasures of love" by Dame Janet Baker. What a great contralto voice she had.

I think most of us know What the World Needs Now is Love Sweet Love. Happy Birthday Jackie.

For some reason, I was reminded of "the king". Let's hear from him about love.

@edgarblythe,
You know, edgar, Nat's song of Rain tree County somehow reminded me of this one.

"..look, look, look for the rainbow.."

What a wonderful mix of news, art and music we're having today on WA2K radio.

@edgarblythe,
Well, Texas, you did a different version of Nat's Mona Lisa by Moon, so how about the full version of the Rainbow.

Thanks for your comment on "the king", and I agree.

@edgarblythe,
I love that one by Russ, edgar. Wonder if there are any moons for sale?

I recall having told "tin sword arthur" that they almost cut Judy Garland's Somewhere Over the Rainbow from the movie, because it was getting too long. Anyone here remember that guy?

How about a couple of songs by Patty LaBelle.

edgar, Loved your Rainbow Quest quartet. Great!

euro, Not to worry, I won't go for that pot of gold and thanks for Judy's original Rainbow. Spirit in the Sky was lovely, and you sleep well, dear friend.

Love that Irish accent.

My goodnight songs.

First, Chopin.

Then The Four Freshmen.
