@eurocelticyankee,
euro, I didn't see that movie; I just chose it because it was unusual. Thanks again for your comments. I read most of Sir Arthur's Sherlock stories when I was a kid.

Love Bruce, buddy, but never heard Stolen Car. Hmmm. Wonder what the meaning was behind that song.

edgar, Strangely, I didn't know that one by Burl. Reminded me of Fox on the Run.

Today is "the monster's" birthday, and I chose this brief tribute because all the others just observed her beauty and not her talent.

@edgarblythe,
Great song by Conway and super video. Hearing the Last Post took me back, I was with the Army School of Music and played the bugle and the side drum. . . Badly.

I like Charlize as an actress and she comes across as a nice, down to Earth person too.

Today is Golden Oldies day on WA2K radio.

Thanks, euro, for being our spokesman.

Just looked at a photo of my brother who I never really got to know, and recall that he sang this one.

Hope our Rockhead is listening to us today, as I want to remind him of a word.

@eurocelticyankee,
Sleep well, dear euro. My daughter is clever just like yours.

Loved Little Anthony's Hurt so bad. Something bit me on my scalp and that hurt bad as well. Put a little Isopropyl alcohol on it, and although it burned, it cured the bite.Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, an instrumental.

Hope London and Canada with be back with us tomorrow. Ceili reminded me of the anachronisms in movies and I loved it. Miss our equus, however.

from Letty with love to everyone

Here's a surprise. It's this swimming gal's birthday, and she's still with us.

Hi Miss Letty.
A happy burtday to Esther; O my, you do like your synchronicity Miss Letty Razz and the great Esther certainly provided that.
Speaking of Million Dollar Baby; congratulations to Ireland's Katie Taylor, a silver today soon to become a gold tomorrow.

@eurocelticyankee,
euro, Welcome back. You sent me searching again.

KATIE Taylor will box for Olympic Gold tomorrow after delivering another technical master-class at the ExCel Arena. Hard for me to get used to girl boxers.

That is indeed synchronicity. Loved Little Jimmy King's song, Doing My Own Thing.

Another birthday guy. You might know him Irish.

I remember Esther Williams because as a kid I saw the one where she swam under water with Tom and Jerry.

edgar, welcome back to you as well. Didn't know Rubber Soul by the Fab Four. Good one. Don't recall the swimming lady with Tom and Jerry. I do remember my friend Cheryl telling me that I was doing an imitation of the lady when I swam at a place we stayed that had a pool. Ah, I miss swimming.

euro, I didn't know that about the U2 guy. Loved the Harvey Ave. Dozen doing Think it Over, buddy. Ah, Fred Astaire!

Another birthday man that I'll be we all know.

Dustin has done some of my favorite films. I could not praise him enough.
I have just been reading about a new Bob Dylan album, out Sept 10. The lead off track is a 14 minute telling of the Titanic. There is a song written to John Lennon. I am curious to hear this one.

Welcome back to you as well, Brit. You sent me searching again.

Average White Band is a Scottish funk and R&B band, who had a series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980. They are best known for their million selling song, "Pick Up the Pieces" and their album Cut the Cake. Great one by them.

edgar, Thanks again for your comments and I love Leonard's In My Secret Life.

Incidentally, Texas. Seems that Randy Travis is in big time trouble.

Here's one to match Barry's. Bobby did everything.
