An announcement from our manager, Robert Gentle.

Now, a tribute to Herman Melville. I think most of us know him for his great allegory Moby Dick.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, liked that tribute to Herman, that video was from a movie I love, The Fountain.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks again for your comment, euro. Enya was superb doing Last Time by Moonlight. I didn't see The Fountain, but now I wish I had.

Here's another birthday guy that I don't know, so first some info.

Adam Fredric Duritz is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and film producer. He is best known for his role as frontman and vocalist for the rock band Counting Crows.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks once again for your comments, edgar.

Great one by Allen singing William Blake's Nurse's Song. My favorite by him was The Tiger.

Well, I think that most of us know that William Blake was a mystic poet, so here is Van the Man singing Into the Mystic.

Hey, Brit. You and euro hurry back. Loved Bob's Moon jogger. Also listened twice to John Murphy's Mercury. Thanks again, Irish, for your comment.

Had more thunder boomers here, so I guess that Wodin is at it again.

I think most of us know that August is named after Julius Caesar, so I'm saying goodnight with a tribute to the man. Drat, I wish I could find what classical piece those guitar people are playing. It will be stuck in my head now.

Good to have Dublin and London with us.

Bobby Vee came to prominence after he filled in for Buddy Holly, just after Buddy was killed. So I read, many years ago.

good evening all listeners !
before the day is over here is the canadian pianist Andre Gagnon with a beautiful composition suited for a quiet evening .
it's simply called Nelligan .

( btw it's andre gagnon's birthday today )

Good morning here, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, Thanks for that info on Bobby Vee. I recall his "..morning sun is shinning like a red rubber ball..."

Your goodnight song was great, Texas. As you know I love Brook Benton's Rainy Night in Georgia.

Reyn, That was a funny photo. Yep, women used to do mud packs. Put Your Make Up On was laughable too, Canada.

hbg, We appreciate your info and the song by Nelligan Andra. Great one, and thanks again for the introduction.

Yep, we knew about Jerry, buddy, but he's worth playing twice.

Barry, Those guys got it WRONG. Here is the Chopin prelude that was played on my tribute to Julius Caesar. Go back and listen to the tribute one more time, and you'll hear this one.

Today is Peter O Toole's birthday, so here is a tribute to a fine actor.

Beautiful full moon setting over the waterway.

A bit of Hollywood info.

Vertigo trumped Citizen Kane. Saw them both, incidentally. Gore Vidal died and I just found out his often used quote was, "...no good deed goes unpunished..."
