@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, nice tribute to Irving Berlin, Bravo to the band.
I liked Dave Stewart's song, I assume that's ex 'Eurythmics' Dave Stewart.

I was given a gift of two tickets to see this guy on July 5, cant wait.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thanks again for the comments, euro. Yours wouldn't play, but I know When I Need you by Leo. Odd, because my brain was humming that very tune.

How about another captain, yawl.

Thanks, osso, for that great Italian virtuoso. I tried to find a translation with no luck.

Hurry back, Texas. As you know, I like The Weight by them. Just found out it was in the movie Easy Rider.

There are three little maids waiting for the guys to return. Razz

@Barry The Mod,
Well, well. Our Brit was smitten with one of those little maids, and he returned with his hands playing The Beach Boys.

Did you know those boys of the beach were inspired by The Four Freshmen. They both did this one.

@Letty,
I found translations, but they were quite horrible. I'll try one myself if I don't get too lazy. He's known for poetic lyrics and online translations tend to miss that boat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francesco_Guccini

Here is the same song with him playing guitar in '79, about five years before the cd I pulled the earlier video from.

And here he is later on singing a song he wrote in the sixties about Auschwitz - haven't watched it all myself yet:

Great mix of music, here on WA2K.

Thanks again, osso, for that fantastic trio of Francesco. Especially like his acoustic guitar. Some songs don't need translating.

Welcome back McTag. Hope the mrs. is doing better. Really like that form of jazz from Marcus Miller.

Hey Brit, I love the expression "sod that". Your jazz version by Randy was great as well. Hope I didn't get mixed up with the acknowledgements.

I think most of us know this one.

Incidentally, The Four Freshmen are a type of cool a capella jazz and they play their own instruments as well.

I'll record it, Baz. I'm not normally a night owl and I've got band rehearsal tomorrow morning.
I quite like to watch Jools on the recorder because I can fast-forward stuff that doesn't appeal to me. I'm a fan of live music, though.
