@edgarblythe,
I love William Blake, edgar, and that Sunflower poem was lovely. Reminds me of this poem.

Just a part of it, however.

When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Another birthday gal.

@Rockhead,
Love Shadows by Joe, Rock. So glad that you introduced him to me and others.

Reminds me a bit of RLS.

I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
What can be the good of him is more than I can see.
He's very, very like me from my feet up to my head,
And I see him jump before me,
As I jump into my bed.

Saying goodnight with two song.

I just read that Marc Anthony is going to do a tribute to this man in April.

@Barry The Mod,
Good early morning here, Brit. You sent me searching again.

El Chicano is an American chicano rock and brown-eyed soul group from Los Angeles, California, whose style incorporates various modern music genres including rock, funk, soul, blues, jazz, and salsa. The group's Latino-centric name refers to United States citizens of typically Mexican American descent and their distinctive "Chicano" culture with regards to language, music, dress, lowrider vehicles, political thought, etc.

That guy was fabulous, and thanks for the introduction.

For some reason, I was thinking of bubble gum. Ever chew any, Barry? This song came to mind.

Welcome back, euro. So glad the weather is nice in Dublin. Steel Guitar Rag by those Texas boys is a great one, honey. Razz Thanks for your comment

Brit, The Little Tramp was expressive even in his silent movie days. Need to check it out but I think Robert Downey, Jr. brought him back to life. Love the song Smile. Your comments are always nice, London.

How about a tribute to a birthday boy, Herb.

Another honey.

@George,
Herb Alpert produced and performed on a hit song for Janet Jackson in the 1980's.

@edgarblythe,
Gonna Give Myself a Party was one that I didn't know by Don Gibson.

Missed our Brit's Playing for a Change. Great one, London. You scoot back on your scooter.

For your mother in law, a surprise from Haydn. Most of our contributors missed his tribute.

Finally catching up with an old friend,that I haven't seen in 10 years,in Greenwich Park tomorrow....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2IhVEv4dfI
Rich Mullins - Hello Old Friends.

Hello old friends
There's really nothing new to say
But the old old story bears repeating
And the plain old truth grows dearer every day
When you find something worth believing
Well that's a joy that nothin' could take away

And so we meet again
After all these many years
Did we sow the seeds we're reaping
Now that the harvest calls us here
It seems that love blooms out of season
And much joy can blossom from many tears

So old friends you must forget what you had to forgive
And let love be stronger than the feelings
That rage and run beneath the bridge
Knowin' morning follows evening
Makes each new day come as a gift

Laters WA2K
Down and gone.

I know that one by Buddy Knox, edgar. Good one. Hope you can return to our little studio.

George, If Ever I should Leave You by Robert was one of his better ones.

Sweeny Todd was one weird production. I remember it best by Johnny Depp. Rather reminds me of what happens to people who seek revenge. I never quite understood the ending of the thing. I know the kid Tobias killed him, but I'm not certain who he was. Thanks for the memory.

Hey, Brit. Loved your Rich Mullins' Hello Old Friends.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs. First Skylark by a great team, Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQNnCYhCm0s&feature=related

I know K.D. Lang did a great version, but I thought that I would try a different version.

Now, a sweet little Robin named Christopher.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drI4pF5iwGw&feature=related

I hope hbg is alright. Loved having Dublin and London with us today.

From Letty with love and affection.

I know several versions of Skylark. I think I prefer Hoagy over KD. I don't understand the words in the Christopher Robin song.
