Bora Bora would be fine. If I did not have family ties, I would consider moving to Ecuador.

Morgan, welcome back. Flo Rida? I get it. Not much of a rap fan, but that gave me a good feeling.

Ceili, Good to see you here as well. All gypsies like to dance, sing, and travel.

edgar, thanks again for your comment, and I, too, would like to go to Ecuador. Great visuals, and it made me want to dance with those folks. Love that Latin beat, Texas.

Can't pass up this artist's birthday.

Going to say goodnight with Nat. What a performer.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

Uhoh! edgar said goodnight with White Lightning by George Jones. Hope he is alright today. Razz

hbg, it is so good to see you back with us. I love that Hungarian song by Brahms. Had no idea that he was born in Germany.

Lullaby of Broadway was great. It is so good to hear Ella and Sachmo sing together, especially when she isn't doing the scat stuff. That woman has a five octave range. They Can't Take That Away From Me is excellent.

Hey turtle man. Good to see you back as well. All of You by Cyd and Fred was a fantastic one and matched All of Me to a T. Especially liked the jazz version by Keith Jarrett.

euro, Welcome back to you as well. Don't know that one by Brian Deadly, but enjoyed it and the visuals.

A couple of songs for Saturday morning here.

First, a surprise by a classic composer. Here is some info.

VIENNA (AP) — A piano work experts attribute to Mozart as a child prodigy was performed for the first time Friday since it was found last year after apparently being left in an attic for centuries.
The lively 84-bar passage — marked "allegro molto," or "very quick" — was played Friday on the composer's piano in a room of his Salzburg home by virtuoso Florian Birsak.
The Mozarteum Salzburg Foundation, which staged the event, said the manuscript was found last summer as part of a 160-page book of handwritten piano music as the musty attic of a house in Tyrol was being cleared from centuries of detritus.

Guess whose birthday it is. Harry Houdini and so long ago, I saw this movie with Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.

It is still speculated about the man's death.

Harry Houdini (born Erik Weisz, later Ehrich Weiss or Harry Weiss; March 24, 1874 – October 31, 1926) was a Hungarian-born American magician and escapologist, stunt performer, actor, film producer, and aviator noted for his sensational escape acts. He was also a skeptic who set out to expose frauds purporting to be supernatural phenomena.

Now a clip.

I saw the Houdini movie as a kid. It made such a vivid impression, I can still see many scenes.
Can't say a word about Mozart not said before.

Judy Collins quote

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKR_iGlWgrk
I wrote this song at a time when Nancy Reagan had happily announced that she slept with a pearl-handled gun under her pillow--perhaps a made up story, but there was and is still a growing feeling that guns solve everything.
People who have guns assume that everyone else is armed.
This was my response--

Shoot First
By Judy Collins
On Home Again, 1984
Producer, Dave Grusin

Go get your guns it's time to play
Let's hurry up don't waste the day
Out in the park we'll stage a fight
Just like on the T.V.
You play the one who has to die
I'll shoot the gun and you will cry
You will fall down and I will run
Just like on the T.V.
My daddy has a gun for real
I'm gonna have my own someday
Just like on the T.V.

My daddy told me what to do
If anybody bothers you
He says the law is on our side
Just like on the T.V.

You've gotta shoot first
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
And ask your questions later
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
Shoot first
You gotta get them before they get you

My older brother has his own
It's got a handle made of bone
He carries it all over town
Just like on the T.V.
My daddy gave my mama one
Genuine real pearl-handled gun
She says she got to have her one
Just like on the T.V.
Did you see who got shot last night?
I stayed up to watch him
They rushed him off to surgery
Right there on the T.V.
Gosh I hope they catch the guy
I think they ought to shoot him
But if they bring him back alive
He'll be on the T.V.

You've gotta shoot first
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
And ask your questions later
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
Shoot first
You gotta get them before they get you

I've got to go it's getting late
I wish I had a real gun
Then I would never be afraid
Like some guys on T.V.
I'd never use my gun on you
You'd never have to worry
You'd be the good guy on my side
Just like on the T.V.

I think when I grow up someday
I'm gonna join the NRA
I saw them telling what they’re for
Last night on the T.V.
My daddy says it's not a game
We've got to play to win it
He says I'll have to learn to fight
Just like on the T.V.

You've gotta shoot first
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
And ask your questions later
Shoot first, you've gotta shoot first
Shoot f
You gotta get them before they get you
