@edgarblythe,
That kid dancing proves that rhythm can not be taught or learned. We're born with the ability, methinks. Simply adorable, edgar.

Thanks for the additional information on Old Joe Clark as well, Texas.

Going to say goodnight with two songs. First, even rain has rhythm.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQstQST1GiM

Now, my favorite by England Dan and John Ford Coley.

Always great to have other countries with us. I'll bet we'll see top tapin' hbg later.

From Letty with love to the ever turning world.

Rhythm of the Rain was "our song" for a Navy pal of mine and his girlfriend.
England Dan and Jon Ford Coley's song is a fine one.

today is the birthday of Lale Anderson - who made the song " Lili marlen "
famous - and herself become famous through its recording .

Quote:
Lale Andersen (23 March 1905 – 29 August 1972) was a German chanson singer-songwriter[note a] born in Bremerhaven, Germany. She is best known for her interpretation of the song "Lili Marleen" in 1939, which became tremendously popular on both sides during the Second World War.

Good early morning here, yawl.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. Love Suzanne, but I recall it best by Leonard Cohen. Don't know Fabian, but Like a Tiger was a good one. Hurry back, buddy.

hbg, Durham Town was great as was The Last Farewell. Nana was a bit out of tune on that one, however.

Ah, Newfoundland was great and reminded me of this doggie.

Lili Marleen is a great version of that gal who played in Witness for the Prosecution.

More synchronicity. Today is Sir Elton's birthday. Love this one by him and it is done as a tribute.

Morgan, welcome back. You sent me searching as did Barry the Brit.

Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Perry grew up with gospel music, and during her first year of high school she pursued a music career as Katy Hudson, releasing her first studio album called Katy Hudson which failed to chart. She recorded a solo album later, which was never released. After signing with Capitol Music Group in 2007, her fourth record label in seven years, she adopted the stage name Katy Perry.

Part of Me was great.

Hmmm, who was that guy on flute?

Ritenour was born January 11, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. He played his first session when he was 16 with the Mamas & the Papas and given the moniker, "Captain Fingers", because of his manual dexterity on the guitar. Ritenour was a sought-after session guitarist by the mid-1970s, and won Guitar Player Magazine's Best Studio Guitarist twice in the 1970s. He is noted for playing his red Gibson ES-335 and his Gibson L5 guitars.

Love that guitar!

Part of Me? How about All of Me.

Many have done that song including Lady Day.

Hurry back, edgar, and thanks for your comment about Sir Elton.

McTag, not certain what Whit Friday is but I checked it out. Should I say, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a whit". Razz

That guy is one great flute player. Obsession was excellent. Thanks Brit.

Another wonderful flute man.

and, the lyrics:

Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain.
Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain.

Oh, the dark days are done, and the bright days are here,
My sunny one shines so sincere,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet.
Sunny, thank you for the love you've brought my way.

You gave to me your all and all,
Now I feel ten feet tall,
Oh, Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for the truth you've let me see.
Sunny, thank you for the facts from A to Z.

My life was torn like wind blown sand,
Then a rock was formed when we held hands.
Sunny one so true, I love you.

Sunny, thank you for that smile upon your face.
Sunny, thank you for that gleam that flows with grace.

You're my spark of nature's fire,
You're my sweet complete desire.
Sunny one so true, I love you.
