A lesser known song by Harry Chapin is "Shooting Star" -- it is my personal favorite Chapin song.

@wandeljw,
JW, Welcome back. You know, of course, that edgar quoted you. Razz

You're right, I don't know Shooting Star by Harry, but it was lovely. Thanks for the memory.

Something tells me that you will love this one by Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull). I know all the melodies, but can only name Mozart's Turkish Rondo.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, edgar. Didn't know The Texas Tornadoes did that one, I know it best by the man in black.

@Rockhead,
Rock, you gotta love a man who makes and plays flutes, too. That version of Texas Tornadoes was great, incidentally.

Since yawl missed Jethro, here's another American Indian flute player.

@jcboy,
Morgan, what's a good lookin' kid like you watching and listening to that sensual song by Madonna. Give it 2 Me was a good song, however. I like her best in Don't Cry for Me Argentina.

Saw a white moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean, so I decided to play a moon song. This ain't exactly Mississippi, but The Doobies and I are thinking the same thought.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar. I love Funny How Time Slips away by Jimmy. Didn't realize that Willie had written it, however.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, since it's Eli Wallach's birthday, the theme from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. It seems that strange noise in the background is crying.

Now a great one by Sam Cooke who missed the Saturday dance.

What a performer, folks.

Well, it appears to be an all American day on WA2K. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Good early morning, WA2K folks.

Wow, hbg. Didn't know that Kenny Loggins wrote Danny's Song for his brother. Remember it best by Anne Murray.

Jimmi Rodgers Blues Guitar was great. I think edgar did one by him as well.

Today is Sir James Galway's birthday, and I was sure Galway Bay was done by him. Maybe it was inspired by him, however.

Two songs for the morning by Sir James.

And another.

Had no idea that he wrote that one for the movie Titanic

Cara Dillon with Sam Lakeman - Garden Valley.

This is really not my home
Oh where are you my lovely Johnny?
I'm afraid and all alone
There is no peace for me
I'm sitting in the stranger's room
Playing at the stranger's table
Shining empty like the moon
There is no peace for me

But in the darkness struggle cold
I think about a garden valley
Gentle as the leaves unfold
Singing out across the bay
Distant and so far away
There is no peace for me

I'm blinded by your city lights
I wander through these fearful places
The colours fade to black and white
There is no peace for me
And these are not the friends I know
These are not their smiling faces
A desert that no-one should know
There is no peace for me

But in the darkness struggle cold
I think about a garden valley
Gentle as the leaves unfold
Singing out across the bay
Distant and so far away
There is no peace for me

Now I know and feel it well
Poor immigrants deep sunken feeling
Standing at the gates of Hell
There is no peace for me
Burned out by their master's greed
Cruel exile transportation
Robbed of every love and need
There is no peace for me

But in the darkness struggle cold
I think about a garden valley
Gentle as the leaves unfold
Singing out across the bay
Distant and so far away
There is no peace for me
There is no peace for me.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. That song by Cara Dillon and Sam Lakeman was really good, but heart rending. Garden Valley was a good title, and the wonderful instruments in the back ground, perfect. Glad you included the lyrics.

Today is Jean Sibelius birthday, so here is Finlandia. This one is perfect for Sunday.

edgar, I love The Clancy Brothers. Will You Go Lassie Go is one of my favorites. I guess the Scots and the Celts had a lot in common. Here is another.
