@eurocelticyankee,
Welcome back, Irish. You sent me searching.

Sol Seppy is a British singer-songwriter and producer. Her real name is Sophie Michalitsianos, and she contributed to two albums of American indie rock band Sparklehorse, Her solo debut, The Bells of 1 2, was released by Grönland Records in 2006. She is perhaps best known in the UK for the song Enter One which was used at the end of a tragic episode of BBC Three sitcom Ideal.

Loved that song, Dublin, but I couldn't find the background on the tragic episode of Three Sitcom Ideal. The visuals were fantastic.

Another birthday boy, yawl.

Don't know him either.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. I enjoy introducing new performers on WA2K. Ah, Send Me Some Lovin' by Little Richard was great. Didn't know that one.

Another birthday boy, and we'll remind ourselves and our listeners with his background.

Jim Messina (born James Melvin Messina, December 5, 1947, Maywood, California) is an American musician, songwriter, singer, recording engineer, and record producer. He was a member of folk rock legend Buffalo Springfield, a founding member of country rock pioneer Poco, and half the popular soft rock duo Loggins and Messina

@eurocelticyankee,
"I'm Hoochi Coochie! --- (whatever that is)"....
"The Hoochie coochie was a sexually provocative belly dance that originated at the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition in 1876. It became wildly popular during and after the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. Described by the New York Journal in 1893 as "Neither dancing of the head nor the feet," it was a belly dance performed by women of (or presented as having) an Eastern European gypsy heritage, often as part of travelling 'side shows'. Gooch, Goochie or Gootchie was apparently already a Southern US term for a woman's private parts, and hoochie coochie has been suggested as referring directly to sex.
Since the dance was performed by women, a ‘goochie man’ either watched them or ran the show. Alternatively, from the directly sexual meaning of goochie goochie, he was successful with women."
I don't think Muddy was singing about dancing Wink

Here's Graces reply to Muddy....

edgar, Thanks for your comment and I like "the jester's " Maggie's Farm. Thanks for acknowledging those bad boys. (whacha gonna do when they come for you) Razz

hbg, enjoyed Chet and Jerry's Breakdown. Sad that they are both gone now.

wow! you boys are being really naughty with all that reference to jumping from one bed to another.

Love Charo, of course, cause she's behaving.

Anyway, love our Irishman's song as well as London's explanation and Grace Jones.

another one by Little Richard. My favorite

@Letty,
had almost fogotten ... where there is charro , there's got to be xavier cugat !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT04xzKCDus&feature=related

let's see how many times he was married ...

Quote:
Cugat was married five times. His first marriage was to Rita Montaner (1918–1920) ; this contradicts all authoritative biographical accounts of her; his second was to Carmen Castillo (1929–1944); his third to Lorraine Allen (1947–52); his fourth to singer Abbe Lane (1952–64); and his fifth to Spanish guitarist and comic actress Charo (1966–78). His last marriage was the first in Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

hbg, Amazing news about The Rumba King. Bim Bam was another goodie, buddy.

edgar, thanks again for your comments and although I don't know LuLu (backwards or forward) Oh Me Oh My was truly great. For a moment there, I thought you were going to do Nat's LuLu's Back in Town.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First another birthday boy along with Eric Clapton.

Now, one by Willie and Ray.

@edgarblythe,
Hurry back, edgar. Now I realize why I know LuLu. She did that song To Sir with Love. I had forgotten that. Love Sidney Poitier. He also did Lilies of the Field.

Didn't know Dog and Pony Show by Coparck, but you sent me searching.

Coparck is a Dutch rock band from Amsterdam. They were together between 1999 and 2010. Good one Texas.

Today is Dave Brubeck's birthday, so here is a tribute to him by his sons. Heard them at Peabody auditorium somewhere in Florida. Razz
