@Barry The Mod,
Thanks for your comment of the lady who plays with her shoes on, Brit.

Love that one by The Talking Heads. (I used to refer to Rockhead and Hingehead as the talking heads.)

Good version by Barb, too.

Odd, I recall getting up one morning and walking from room to room saying, "..they're just things..". That was when I was concerned too much about my antiques.

Here's Tony and Stevie replying to the important thing in life, Brit.

Good afternoon. It's beautiful and sunny. Hard to believe it is January.

Hurry back, Brit. Love that Cotton pickin peanut shellin hands by Eddie Curtis.

edgar, glad it's warming up in Texas, buddy. Save the Last Dance for Me by the Drifters is a great one.

hbg, You're funny today on WA2K. Loved The Boots Were Made for Walkin by Nancy, and that funny traditional bunch of German guys dancing with their log was great. Ah, Woody Herman. Haven't heard in in a long time. What a wonderful memory of his Woodchopper's Ball which was one of Bud's favorites.

I sang this one by Ray, and the crowd followed through with the great Hey's.

Odd, because he did this one in Germany in '62

McTag, believe me I know what CPR is and Staying Alive by the BeeGees was perfect.

edgar, thanks again for your comments, and although I do not know Edythe Wright, that was a wonderful version of Star Dust.

Going to say goodnight a bit early tonight as Carrie is here with me. (she says hi to all of you)she'll be leaving tomorrow.

We watched The Great Caruso this evening starring Mario Lanza and Ann Blythe. Fantastic movie. How sad that Mario died at 38 and Caruso at 48.

For you, edgar.

From Letty with love to you all.

@Letty,
here is another singer who had a beautiful voice - but left us too early - his trademark was his " monocle " .

Quote:
Richard Tauber (16 May 1891 – 8 January 1948)[1] was an Austrian tenor acclaimed as one of the greatest singers of the 20th century. Some critics commented that "his heart felt every word he sang".

@hamburgboy,
Love Dark Eyes by Richard Tauber, hbg, and here is the translation.

Oh, these gorgeous eyes, dark and glorious eyes,
Burn-with-passion eyes, how you hypnotise!
How I_ adore you so, how I fear you though,
Since I saw you glow! Now my spirit’s low!

Darkness yours conceal mighty fires real;
They my fate will seal: burn my soul with zeal!
But my love for you, when the time is due,
Will refresh anew like the morning dew!

No, not sad am I, nor so mad am I;
All my comforts lie in my destiny.
Just to realise my life’s worthiest prize
Did I sacrifice for those ardent eyes!.

Hey, Brit. Don't know Jackie Trent, but Take Me Away was great.

edgar, Tiptoe Through the Tulips With Me? Funny one by Tiny Tim.

Song for the early morning here, yawl.

Deja Vous song.

Good one by Diana Krall, letty.
It's exceptionally nice, weatherwise. Mildest December in a number of years. See everyone later.

@Barry The Mod,

Ruby Turner did a great job on that, despite the number of white guys in the band.

Hey, Brit. Loved that train song by Ruby. Now here are some white guys with a tribute to a gentleman of color, Little Richard, whose birthday is today. Razz

Thanks again, edgar, for your comments.
