Wow! Cold here. I know about mood swings, but weather swings are rather predictable.

Hurry back, edgar. Loved the jester's song referring to the Lone Ranger. Never heard that one.

hbg, Your traditional Greek song was great, but I was a bit cooled down by the thought of an Igloo Church. Nice Christmas medley, however.

Welcome back jcboy. Lady GaGa and Beyonce really did drag out a bit. Good one to work out by, however.

The Greeks do have a word for it. "agape" meaning love.

Here's one for the morning here. First, some info.

Shakatak scored a number of chart entries, including two Top Ten hits in the UK Singles Chart, "Night Birds" (1982) and "Down on the Street" (1984) plus a further 12 entries in the Guinness book of British Hit Singles. The group are still popular throughout the world particularly in Japan and the Far East, and generally produce a new album every two years on JVC Records.

Now, Cascade.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment, edgar. Had no idea that Jerry Lee did Me and Bobby McGee. Thanks for the alternate version.

Today is Dave Clark's birthday so here is a good song as a tribute.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. I chose the second one and it was fabulous. Playing for Change was done so well by that group. Merry Christmas in Spanish.

From a book, to a play, to a movie. The War Horse.

@Barry The Mod,
Ah, Brit, what a delightful song. as Sherman said, "....war is hell..." I enjoyed the tribute of two little boys who grow up and go to war.

From two little boys to three little maids.

edgar, I found out about The War Horse accidentally, and my good neighbor Sharon and I want to go and see it.

Ah, Brit. Jimmy Buffett on Christmas Island. Great one, and I wish sometimes that I could travel more.

Going to say goodnight a bit early because my daughter is here with designer Jac, and I want to spend an evening with her.

Today is Stan Kenton's birthday, so here are a couple of songs by the band man.

First, a cozy fire and an instrumental of The Christmas Daze. Razz

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfeSSqWTSQs&feature=related

Here's a jazz version of That Rainy Day and I know Stan would appreciate it.

Been to Winchester, yawl.

So nice to have Ontario, Dublin, and London with us today.

@Letty,
what would christmas be without the vienna boys choir - here they are singing for you .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVVxJQCDCLE&feature=related

Quote:
The Vienna Boys' Choir (also The Vienna Choir Boys, German: Wiener Sängerknaben) is a choir of trebles and altos based in Vienna. It is arguably the best known boys' choir in the world. The boys are selected mainly from Austria, but also from many other countries.

The choir is a private, not-for-profit organization. There are approximately 100 choristers between the ages of ten and fourteen. The boys are divided into four touring choirs, named for Bruckner, Haydn, Mozart and Schubert, which perform about 300 concerts each year before almost 500,000 people. Each group tours for about nine to eleven weeks.[1]

( while i lived in vienna for a whole year as a boy of 10 , the choir showed absolutely no interest in furthering my singing career Wink )
