Evening Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K folks.Busy day here.Unwinding with....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egpsoqLxkQE
Amy Winehouse - Take The Box.

Your neighbours were screaming
I don't have a key for downstairs, so I punched all the buzzers hoping you wouldn't be there
And now my head's hurting
You say I always get my own way
But you were in the shower when I got there, I'd have wanted to stay, but I got nothing to say

Cause you were so beautiful before today
And then I heard what you got to say... man that was ugly

The Moschino bra you bought me last Christmas
Put it in the box, put it in the box
Frank's in there and I don't care
Put it in the box, put it in the box
Just take it
Take the box
Take the box

I came home this evening and nothing felt like how it should be
I feel like writing you a letter but that is not me... you know me
Feel so dam angry; don't wanna be reminded of you
But when I left my mess in your kitchen, I said goodbye to your bedroom it smelled of you

Mr False Pretence, you don't make sense
I just don't know you
But you make me cry, where's my kiss goodbye?
I think I love you

The Moschino bra you bought me last Christmas
Put it in the box, put it in the box
Frank's in there and I don't care
Put it in the box, put it in the box
Now take it
Take the box
Just take it, take it
Take the box
And now just take the box
Take the box

Take the box

BTW the little lad was singing with The Boss at 3:50

Thanks, edgar, for your comment on the BBC orchestra's tribute. Surprised our Brit missed that. Love Paul Butterfield's Blues Band doing Mary, Mary. Never heard that one before.

Hey, Brit I really like that Amy Winehouse song. Hmmm, Did I see a disco ball? We'll dedicate that to Rockhead. Razz Still not certain who that little lad is. You?

Time for me to say goodnight. Somehow, when this new time, I get sleepy earlier.

Gonna say goodnight with two songs.

First Deano.

Now a lovely Persian song.

Nice to have our London Town man with us today.

From Letty with love to the world.

That's some modern sounding Persian music. I know Send Me the Pillow (originally done by Hank Locklin, I think).

Been a while since I listened to this, one of my personal favorites.

some wonderful music being played tonight - thanks all !

saying good night with some scenes and music from canada :

first an oldie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsmC0auHbAA&feature=related

and here is randy bachman - one of ebeth"s favourites ( reminds her of university days )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7ewuZS49aE

btw. a documentary on CBC took randy back to his family roots in germany .
i seem to recall that the documentary showed that the J S BACH family fits into his family background - so it seems that music was in his genes .

Good morning here, WA2K folks.

hbg, once again I will have to include Ontario in my "...nice to have...", etc.

Loved all the music that you played here, and Edgar said what I would say about the music that you played last evening.

edgar, Wonderland by Night; Our Winter Love; Bad Finger and The Drifters produced great music. Thanks, Texas, and hurry back.

Our hbg has Rolled on Down the Highway. Hope he drops by before I fall asleep tonight.

Today is Johnny Mandel's birthday and he did so many great songs. Here's just one for the day.

Two great jazz artists, folks.

@hamburgboy,
You're right, hbg. I really like Michael and Let it Snow was perfect.

This one always brings a bit of a tear to my eye, and I guess it's because my two children sang it so many times.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks for all your comments on what we play here. I love The Brothers Four's Green Green Grass of Home. Had no idea it was from a John Wayne movie, Texas.

Keep us apprised about Leonard. Love that guy, too.

TCM was showing all the oldies last evening. Stage Coach was one of them.

Here's a birthday man, but first some info.

Bruce Randall Hornsby (born November 23, 1954) is an American singer, pianist, accordion player, and songwriter. Known for the spontaneity and creativity of his live performances, Hornsby draws frequently from classical, jazz, bluegrass, folk, Motown, rock, blues, and jam band musical traditions with his songwriting and the seamless improvisations contained within.

Hornsby's recordings have been recognised on a number of occasions with industry awards, including the Best New Artist Grammy in 1987 with Bruce Hornsby and the Range, the Best Bluegrass Recording Grammy in 1990, and the Best Pop Instrumental Grammy in 1993.

Now a song by him.
