@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks again for your comments. Actually, Texas, I'm the one who played the rang tang ding dong song. As I said, the guy's voice wasn't too great, but the visuals were. Who cannot like Gershwin's A Foggy Day.

Liked Tony's Once Upon a Time.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with a song and a poem.

First, Johnny. Don't know if you remember WilliamHenryIII, but he lived in Alabama and said that this one should have been the state song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL1xkgmLKKo&feature=related

Now, the poem.

The fog creeps in on little cat feet.
It sit on silent haunches,
Looking over harbor and city,
And then moves on.

Carl sandburg

Hope hbg is alright. It's cold in Ontario.

From Letty with love to everyone

@Letty,
letty ,
yes i'm a'right . today it was still mild - by ontario's standards - 14 C , and i had a nice walk by the creek .
tonight it will be below freezing but a warming trend is coming .

of course , we can always depend on tim horton to keep us warm .
our city of 150,000 has 12 ( ! ) timmie outlets plus numerous others .

here are the arrogant worms singing the praises of " double-double " :

Quote:
The Arrogant Worms came together in 1991 to do a few spots on campus radio station CFRC in Kingston, Ontario,[1] and quickly moved to doing spots on CBC Radio One. Since 1992 the troupe has released thirteen CDs. Their most recent album, Hindsight 20/20, is a greatest hits CD spanning their 20 year career and was released in November 2010. The Worms have toured in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

@Letty,
I didn't actually say who posted the Rang Dang Ding Dong song, letty. Not that it's a biggie. I see in the news that Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees is losing a battle with cancer.

It's supposed to be a good day here, but instead it's a dark morning.

hbg, Really liked The Arrogant Worms Coffee song, and Tex Williams version of Smoke, Smoke, Smoke That Cigarette.

edgar. thanks again for your comments, and K.D. Lang's version as well. The Andrew Sister's Drinking Rum and Coca Cola is probably about a "lady of the evening. "...working for the Yankee dollar..."

Too bad about Robin Gibb, buddy. Saved by the Bell and I Cried for You were goodies.

Rock, Had no idea that K.D. did Walking After Midnight. Thanks, Kansas.

Hope that I didn't miss anyone, as I was awakened quite early by my sprinkler system.

How about a "dream catcher" for the beginning of the day. I still have two of them.

@Barry The Mod,
Welcome back, Brit. Love Loner by Roy. Thanks for the memory. Here's one to match by Art that's a wee bit happier.

and the lyrics.

Alone together, beyond the crowd,
Above the world, we’re not too proud
To cling together, We’re strong
As long as we’re together.

Alone together, the blinding rain
The starless night, were not in vain;
For we’re together, and what is there
To fear together.

Our love is as deep as the sea,
Our love is as great as a love can be,
And we can weather the great unknown,
If we’re alone together.

The dream catcher music was nice, letty, as was Roy Orbison's song - Roy's song was new to me. And Alone Together is new to me also.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, I was certain that our Brit had fogged up the place and messed up our signal. Thanks for your comments, buddy.

That song that I played was by Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers. Met him in New York, Texas.

Harry's song was a good one, but according to Kris: "...freedom's just another name for nothing else to lose..." Also, Butterflys Are Free...".

Speaking of which, Today is Goldie Hawn's birthday. Remember her?
