I love Rex Allen's voice. I think I mentioned that I saw him at the San Antonio rodeo one year - With Koko, the dancing horse. I sort of liked Roy Rogers, but he was a little glitzy to me.

Goodnight, hbg. I know that aria.
edgar, Ah, Tommy Sands. Sing Boy Sing was marvelous and Steve McQueen's Cincinnati Kid by Ray was as well. I recall him in The Thomas Crown Affair.

Hey, Brit. What a wonderful soul song by Lisa Stansfield. London to Brighton was great. Don't know her, but thanks for the introduction.

Here's hbg's song in English. Don't know this man, but he is fantastic.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Texas. Had no idea that "the jester" did House of the Rising Sun. I liked it, and Rod's MamaYou've Been on My Mind was another great one.

I really love songs that are taken from Classics, so here is the classic by Chopin, and followed by I'm Always Chasing Rainbows.

Now, Jan who is fantastic.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. I think it was the other way around.

How about some Homer and Jethro. Love this parody on Jo's and The Duprees' song.

Homer and Jethro could carry a tune and they played their instruments very well.

Here is something I found -

@edgarblythe,
From the portugese
you can not explain to normal. O Que Nao Se Pode Explicar Aos Normais. What you can not explain to normal.
Catedral Cathedral
Sobre o amor eo desamor, sobre a paixão About love and lovelessness, about passion
Sobre ficar, sobre desejar, como saber te amar? About getting on like, how do you know you love?
Sobre querer, sobre entender, sem esquecer About wanting, about understanding, not forgetting
Sobre a verdade ea ilusão About truth and illusion
Quem afinal é você? Who are you anyway?
Quem de nós vai mostrar realmente o que quer? Who of us will really show what you want?
Um coração nesse furacão, ilhado onde estiver. A heart that hurricane stranded the go.
O meu querer é complicado demais, My will is too complicated, too
Quero o que não se pode explicar aos normais. I want what you can not explain to normal.
Sobre o porquê de tantos porquês, On why so many whys,
E responder And responding
Entre a razão ea emoção eu escolhi você! Between reason and emotion I choose you!

Quem de nós vai mostrar realmente o que quer? Who of us will really show what you want?
Um coração nesse furacão, ilhado onde estiver. A heart that hurricane, where you are stranded.
O meu querer é complicado demais, My will is too complicated,

hbg, Welcome back, and that funny beer song to the tune of Toreador was great.

edgar, that was the most beautiful song of Marcio Yamada by Catedral and thank you so much for the explanation of the song. I guessed Portuguese, Texas.

Time to say goodnight from your pd/producer.

In spite of America's faults, I think we all love our country.

@Barry The Mod,
Brit, that song tells it like it is. When You're Strange simply reminds me of Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. If one does not fit, like your dwarf, then they are rejected. Didn't see the movie of which you speak, but it reflects the idea perfectly.

How about a little quiet jazz for the early morning here.

and, the lyrics.

Softly as in a morning sunrise
The light of love comes stealing
Into a newborn day

Flaming with all the glow of sunrise
A burning kiss is sealing
A vow that all betray

For the passions that thrill love
And take you high to heaven
Are the passions that kill love
And let it fall to hell
So ends the story

Softly as in a morning sunrise
The light that gave you glory
Will take it all away

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K folks.
I love the MJQ Ms PD,especially....
Milton "Bags" Jackson (January 1, 1923 – October 9, 1999) was an American jazz vibraphonist, usually thought of as a bebop player, although he performed in several jazz idioms. He is especially remembered for his cool swinging solos as a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet and his penchant for collaborating with several hard bop and post-bop players.

A very expressive player, Jackson differentiated himself from other vibraphonists in his attention to variations on harmonics and rhythm. He was particularly fond of the 12-bar blues at slow tempos. He preferred to set the vibraphone's oscillator to a low 3.3 revolutions per second (as opposed to Lionel Hampton's speed of 10 revolutions per second) for a more subtle vibrato. On occasion, Jackson would also sing and play piano professionally.

Love Bag's Groove, Brit. Mt. Fuji? Fantastic! Miles Davis played those vibes as well. Thanks for the info on Milton, buddy.

Another session with a jazz man that I don't know.
