@edgarblythe,
That was a great song Ed and a great video, it kind of reminded me of Billy Joels "we didnt start the fire". Really good track.
To tell the truth when you said "Scatman calls this to mind", this is what I'd thought you'd play.

Funny songs and memories, yawl. (talking to self and telling Letty, "if you don't use it, you lose it")

Cab did Minnie the Moocher at eighty years of age. I think we may have played that here on WA2K radio.

Those Scatmen remind me of Scatman Strothers in The Shinning. "...that boy's got the shine..."

Didn't much care for that adaptation of Stephen King's book. Didn't elaborate about the fact that the hotel was built on the Donner Pass.

Back later with more about Bo Derek and Orca.

Hey, Texas, Missed the jester again.

@Letty,
I didn't know Benjamin Crothers was a singer, a good one too, thanks for the intro Miss Letty.
Ed really enjoyed Bob, a rarity on You Tube.
Here he is again, enjoy it while you can.

@eurocelticyankee,
I very nearly played Subteranean, euro. But I figured It's all right was the less heard around here.
Scatman Crothers was a good performer, whether singing or acting.

Hey, guys, thanks for the comments and as euro and edgar know, I love Bob Dylan.

Didn't know Jerry Vale, but I know the song. Frankie Laine did it, too.

More chaining. Someone played Ravel's Bolero and I recall Bo Derek but I also recall her in the movie, Orca, The Killer Whale. That movie showed how vengeful those whales can be.

Here's the trailer, and a link to more info.

another big OOPS. Missed our Brit again. Welcome back London. Will check out your songs and info shortly

It was NOT an imitation of the movie Jaws, and as I have mentioned before, that movie was just a poor man's Moby Dick.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. I saw that about Sir Paul and Nancy. Amazing about his intent to learn ballet such as The Swam and Nutcracker Suite.

That one with the mandolin and his cockney postman was spooky, but funny. Love the way they superimpose stuff on that one.

I'm hoping our edgar will return and comment on Orca.

I watched the video and read the description of the movie, letty. I find it kind of interesting, but don't really watch such films.

Sir Paul can't just leave it alone. He has to marry, repeatedly. He is a great artist and I admire his music.

You guys are funny. Yep, Rock. The Fool on the Hill.

Incidentally, folks, that should have been swan not swam.

U2, just as edgar observed, brought more rain here as well, along with a wind that won't quit. Thanks for your comment on Orca, buddy. Those whales are more dangerous than sharks. I think it may be because they are family protective and intelligent.

euroGeorge, do you reckon he can replace that arm? Razz

Another Brit's birthday. first some info.

John Alec Entwistle (9 October 1944 – 27 June 2002) was an English bass guitarist, songwriter, singer, horn player, and film and record producer who was best known as the bass player for the rock band The Who. His aggressive lead sound influenced many rock bass players. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Who in 1990.

Now, the song.

@Letty,
Miss Letty really enjoyed listening to John Entwistle, first time hearing him solo and I am surprised how good he is.
Anywho .... I'll wish you all well and say good night.
