Good early morning, WA2K radio folks.

edgar, loved your goodnight song. Vaughn Monroe 's Racing With the Moon is a good one.

wm, Liked both your Bobby Vinton songs. Think for a moment. If you turn on your radio and hear someone say. "Thanks for posting it", you would wonder what they are talking about, right?

A birthday boy and a new face and voice on the horizon.

Been a very busy summer here, but now have time again to tune into your wonderful thread.

Good morning Miss Letty, Ed & co.
Everybody well I hope.
Just back from the Big Apple, went over to support my
Sister in Law who lost her husband, a firefighter on 9-11.
An emotional week but we showed up in force to support her,
it's the least we can do. R.I.P Johnny.

Oops! Point well taken. From now on I shall make sure that my reference is clear to the reader.

The following YouTube video is taken from the animated feature Fantasia 2000. Rhapsody in Blue was composed by George Gershwin in 1924.

Old Goat, Welcome back. Superheavy's Miracle Worker was great, and you're right about Mick.

Welcome back to you as well, euroGeorge. The tribute to the victims of 9/11 was heart felt and moving. I'm certain your entire family appreciates it. The Tree Memorial was excellent.

wm, I have always loved Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin, and obviously Disney and crew did too. Thanks, buddy.

When our listeners and contributors get a chance, check out the new guy Marc Antony. He is wonderful and that song very dear.

In addition to it being Marc Antony's birthday, here's another. What a unique actor and detective, yawl.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar. Don't know that one by Clyde. I do recall A Lover's Question, however. He is a great singer.

Didn't Harry Belafonte do Carmen? Anyway, I was inspired for a little opera this afternoon, so let's listen to a barber.

Have no idea who the performer is, however.

Harry Belafonte was in Carmen Jones. Another's voice was dubbed into the film where Harry was to sing.

I like that Figaro musicc.

@edgarblythe,
Hi Miss Letty & Ed, I apologise that I am not going to be able
to listen or comment on the great music you are playing tonight
as I am exhausted. Got of the plane at 03.15 hrs last night and have
had a pretty busy day.
I'll be back tomorrow to catch up, till then I'll wish you well and say
good night. Smile

@edgarblythe,
I have really grown to like Leonard Cohen more and more. I didn't know that you had listened to that one, incidentally.

First we take manhattan then we take Berlin. In my search for the meaning I noted that someone said it was a terrorist thing.

I don't know this vocalist, but I certainly know the song.

Oops, missed euroGeorge again. You hurry back, Irish.

I'm very sorry to hear your extended family suffered this horrible tragedy. I didn't know. Your brother-in-law was a hero. I know this sounds cheap, but I had to extend my condolences.

@Letty,
I think Cohen was having fun, noting that Manhattan is one of two spots on Earth with so many Jews and playing on the notion that they could be taking Manhattan, so Berlin would be next in line. Some of his songs, such as this one, seem to be word association games.
