@edgarblythe,
I love Kenny Rogers, edgar, but I have never heard him do Through the Years. I listened twice. What a beautiful song what a fantastic voice and what a message it gives to all of us . Thanks, buddy.

No autumn here, but I played this on mizz Izz's Yabber Liner.

Don't know the man, but his acoustic guitar is great as is his voice.

Autumn Nocturne was a good choice of songs.
Euro, the radio station I have been listening to was playing that Pink Floyd earlier.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back euroGeorge. Don't know that one by Pink Floyd, but you reminded me of a jazz ballad that went something like this.

Someone's painting the trees all wrong this year, wish you were here, and why have the birds lost their song this year wish you were here, etc. couldn't find it anywhere.

edgar thanks for the comment on Autumn Nocturne. Don't know "the boss'' version of Pink Cadillac. Thanks for the introduction.

Here's Harry with a lovely remember song.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! The Crooner did that song? I thought only "the king" did it.

Here's another oddity, edgar. When this first begins, I cringed, then it went to Bing's usual voice.

Shocked to find out The Mills Brothers did that one as well.

@Letty,
The comments on Bing's song say this:

Lani is singing the lyrics at the beginning before Crosby with George

Kainapau doing the falsetto interludes.
rminnewawa 1 year ago
@rminnewawa Sweet Leilani by Bing Crosby

I'm con fused by your comment that Lani McIntire sang first verse Then you bring

up the falsetto voice of George Kainapau. Who sang the first verse Lani or George?TKS

@edgarblythe,
I'm confused as well, edgar. Are you surprised? Razz

Felix Mendelssohn and The Hawaiian Serenaders was great. Never heard them before. Guess we're looking at the old Hawaii, cause they also did this one.

Here's Hank Snow's version.

jcboy, I didn't know you were a hippie. Love that song and the era of the flower children.

Hey Brit, Welcome back. You sent me searching again, buddy.

Dee Dee Bridgewater (born May 27, 1950) is an American Jazz singer. She is a two-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter, as well as a Tony Award - winning stage actress and host of National Public Radio's syndicated radio show JazzSet with Dee Dee Bridgewater. She is a United Nations Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization.

Loved The Autumn Leaves by her and Jane Morgan's A Girl Named Johnny Cash was funny.

edgar, had forgotten Down by the Old Mill Stream and had no idea that Nat did it, either.

As you may remember, Texas, the first time that I heard Hank Snow was when he did I've Been Everywhere. It was used in commercials.

Going to say goodnight a bit early as I am rather tired this evening.

Who better to do it than Andrea.

So great to see London and Dublin with us today.

From Letty with love to you all.

I like that Scott McKenzie song. I lived in San Francisco, for a time. I frequented a place called The Coffee Gallery. Also the City Lights Bookstore.
