Good Iz song. The Aloha video reminds me of the days when as a sailor I visited there.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic song (but sad) by Jerry Jeff Walker, edgar. I recall your having clarified the Bo Jangles song which was not for Bill Robinson. "Desperados Waiting for the Train" is one that I do not know. It does tell a story. I know Red River Valley, incidentally.

Where did Prince Gautam go? Bet he'll know this one. A tribute to a man who recently died.

Doesn't need to be translated.

As I noted before, Hindi performers seem always to have fun.

@edgarblythe,
Some great music being played.
Iz has a sweet voice, have to say I'd be worried for the mans health...
Summer Breeze - The Isley Brothers is a real classic, never heard Jerry Jeff before,
I like him and I've definitely never heard Suzukake No Michi before, I hope
I got his name right, not bad. Enjoyed the Harry Belafonte - Mr Bojangles, smooth.
Nice video about Hawaii, Miss Letty, I'd love to be there now.

Two from Christy Moore.

What a wonderful mix of music on WA2K Radio. Thanks, edgar, for your comments. So sorry that jcboy has gone from rainbows to rivers.

Love all the music and wish I could comment on each song.

I have had a tour of Black Heath by Barry the Mod; an introduction and a song of the The Waverly the last sea going paddle steamer in the world replete with song of the Clyde by Kenneth McKellar from McTag; beautiful abstracts by JLNobody; Ursula's captivating photos of the restaurant where her Swede works, and it has been a delightful evening except for one thing. Although I didn't sow the wind, the kid from Orlando and I reaped the whirl wind. I have never seen anything so quick and destructive.

Now I am back in the studio with no garage door opener. Come on Charlie Chaplin and Nat give me a smile.

So nice to see London and Dublin with us today.

Time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do so with a tour around the world.

Hope I didn't miss any of our contributors.

From Letty with love and a much needed shamrock.

@edgarblythe,
Loved your goodnight song by Marty, edgar, and thanks for your comment on the slide show. Hurry back, Texas, and be careful of the sun. Didn't know Ruby Ann. Thanks for the memory. Dinah's song was an oldie but goodie.

Another amazing moment. I did the patron saint of lost things again. (St. Anthony) and found my garage door opener.

I've also been trying to find out what kind of wind that was which came up so suddenly and left so quickly. Nothing yet.

Today is Jimmy Webb's birthday. He wrote so many find songs, but I chose this one thinking the moon may have been the culprit.

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, nice song from Jimmy Webb, not to familiar with him, good though.
Oh and great video with that Enigma track.
Enjoyed Ed's Dinah Washington's song, great track and the great Marty Robbins too.

euroGeorge, What a fantastic Irish voice has Johnny McEvoy. His tribute to a fallen hero, Michael Collins, was awesome. When we were in New York we took the Staten Island ferry to see the lady with the lamp. It still amazes me that the statue was a gift from the French and that a fantastic Jewish poet, Emma Lazarus, wrote that lovely poem. Yes, Irish, the Italians and the Irish were not treated well in the new immigration period.

July marked the 125 anniversary of the Statue of Liberty and it will be closed to tourists in October for major repairs.

Thanks to both you and edgar for your comments.

edgar, Rusty Draper's Shifting, Whispering Sands was a marvelous song and one that sent me searching.

More synchronicity. Today is Napoleon Bonaparte's birthday. Remember his waterloo?
