Barry, great one by Paul about his boy. It seems that stars don't stay together very long.

One to match. "you don't have to be a star Barry to be on our show." Razz

Ah, how sweet to know that someone really cares, jcboy.

Billie Holiday also did My Man.

Yep, Brit, Babs and Celine said it right. Tell Him.

One to match edgar's Byrds' song.

Ah, where did our edgar go? Maybe he doesn't know Greek. Razz

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.

First, a great duo.

I have liked Nana Mouskouri since sometime in the 1960s. Great voice.

Yusuf is still good, all these years later. Olivia and Barry I think are better solo.

mmarciano, Welcome to WA2K radio. Great one by Trisha. Don't know How Do I Live, but thanks for the introduction.

edgar, Thanks again for your comments, and It's Only Love by the fab four was great. Didn't know that one either. Did, however, know your goodnight song by Louis and Keely.

Well, yawl, I was up quite early to watch the perseid shower, nada. It may have been that huge moon hanging over the canal.

Today is this great guy's birthday, so here is a tribute to him.

Good morning. It's a lovely burnt to a crisp day out there already.
That's a Fogelberg song I didn't know, letty.

@edgarblythe,
My word, edgar, I had forgotten about Rocky The Italian Stallion. Had to check him out to recall his real name. Thanks for the memory, Texas. Liked that theme, incidentally. I didn't know that one by Dan either. Just liked it.

Here's a real surprise. Today is George Shearing's birthday and I saw him at The Embers when we were in New York.

Had no idea that he did this one. Rather different and sad.

I haven't heard the Shearing version before, myself. I like it. The only other version I genuinely like is by Bobby Darin.

@edgarblythe,
I agree about Bobby's version, edgar, I just thought it odd that George had done that song.

Don't know Dale and Grace, buddy, but I am familiar with the song I'm Leaving it All up to you.

Well, Alfred's birthday is today so here is a tribute to the man.

See how many of the movies you have seen by him.

His screen adaptations were not always true to the books.

I enjoyed most of Hitchcock's major films. His early work bores me.

@edgarblythe,
Some did, some were scary, edgar. You sent me searching again, buddy.

Jackson Browne (born Clyde Jackson Browne; October 9, 1948) is an American rock singer-songwriter and musician who has sold over 17 million albums in the United States alone.

Coming to prominence in the 1970s, Browne's political interests and personal angst have been central to his career, resulting in popular songs such as "Somebody's Baby", "These Days", "The Pretender", "Lawyers in Love" and "Running On Empty". In 2004, Browne was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by his friend Bruce Springsteen. The same year, Browne received an honorary Doctorate of Music from Los Angeles' Occidental College for "a remarkable musical career that has successfully combined an intensely personal artistry with a broader vision of social change and justice"

Don't know The Pretender by Jackson. (sadly reminded me of Freddie Mercury), but I love this one by the guy.
