The billing was misleading. I kept expecting the Beatles somewhere. But the Monkeys did a pretty good job of it.

@edgarblythe,
jcboy, Loved Sinnerman by Nina. Thanks, Florida.

"I went to the rock to hide my face, but the rock cried out no hiding place."

edgar, I could have sworn I saw Ringo in there. It was difficult to tell who was who with all that costuming.

Sir Elton's The Drover's Ballad was great. Don't know that one by him so thanks for the introduction.

Anyone remember this palindrome?

@eurocelticyankee,
You sent me searching, Irish.

Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), better known by her stage name Robyn, is a Swedish recording artist, singer, and songwriter. Robyn became known in the late nineties for her worldwide dance-pop hit "Do You Know (What It Takes)" from her debut album Robyn Is Here (1997). She co-wrote the song "Du gör mig hel igen" ("You Make Me Whole Again") for Melodifestivalen 1997. The popularity of her number-one hit "With Every Heartbeat" and subsequent album release Robyn (2005) brought her mainstream success worldwide. In January 2009 Robyn won a Swedish Grammis award for Best Live Act 2008.

Love that one by her.

She may not be a robin, but we could refer to her as a Swedish Nightingale.

@edgarblythe,
Abba Dabba Honeymoon was originally done by Debbie Reynolds, edgar and she's still with us.

Don't know Dear Landlord by "the jester", Texas, but it was a good one.

Time for me to say goodnight and I think that I shall do so with two songs. First, a surprise version by Bobby Darin.

and now, the great voice of Matt Monroe

How marvelous to have London and Dublin with us today.

From Letty with love and a smile

I have a vinyl album by Bobby Darin, in which he sings 'Nightingale', My Buddy, All By Myself, and several other great ones. I haven't been able to find those same versions on youtube as yet, but he outdoes himself on that album.

Can't say much about Matt I haven't already said.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. Enjoyed listening to Frank and Doris do that song from Young At Heart.

Hurry back, Brit. Did not know one of your performers, but I really enjoyed the instrumental by Junior Mance. Thanks for your comments as well. How dear was Suzi Quatro's tribute to Elvis. Enjoy your weekend.

Thinking of jcboy's comment on the mountains and it made me think of Afton Mountain in Virginia. So, we'll listen to Robert Burns' Afton done so beautifully by this group.

@edgarblythe,
Hurry back, edgar. You work too hard and too long.

How about a bit of jazz for the noontime. Love this duo.

Ever wonder, yawl?

Why was I born
Why am I living
What do I get
What am I giving

Why do I want a thing
I daren't hope for
What can I hope for
I wish I knew

Why do I try
To draw you near me
Why do I cry
You never hear me

I'm a poor fool
But what can I do
Why was I born
To love you

This amazed me when I read it.
