Flower lady, Welcome back with Beck. Razz Just found out what that song title means. "...none shall sleep..." Great one, gal. Where is Rockhead?

Hey, Irish. Three great songs. Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely; Dusty's The Look of Love; Elkie's Don't Cry Out Loud all good ones.

edgar and his pun in the sun should give us all a smile.

Peter Falk died today, and before I play his tribute a little info.

Peter Michael Falk (September 16, 1927 – June 23, 2011) was an American actor, best known for his role as Lieutenant Columbo in the television series Columbo. He appeared in numerous films and television guest roles, and has been nominated for an Academy Award twice (for 1960's Murder, Inc. and 1961's Pocketful of Miracles), and won the Emmy Award on five occasions (four for Columbo) and the Golden Globe award once. Director William Friedkin, when discussing Falk's role in his 1978 film The Brink's Job said that "Peter has a great range from comedy to drama. He could break your heart or he could make you laugh.

Incidentally, the real title of Ambrose's tribute was Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. The entire idea behind it was the man had a wonderful experience of being reunited with his loved ones before he died.

Nice tribute to Peter falk, Miss Letty. Who better than
Ennio Morricone to provide the music.
The Scorpion Departs, Phil Ochs is a good track, don't
know anything about Ochs, first time hearing him.

Fields of Athenry - Paddy Reilly.

@eurocelticyankee,
Phil Ochs had a tragic life, Irish. I didn't know "the scorpion" by him, however.

The Fields of Athenry was spell binding. Thanks for the history and the music.

Another field to match yours.

@Letty,
That was a lovely version of Stings "Fields of Gold" by Celtic
Woman Miss Letty. I'd love to know where it was filmed.

I'll say good night with two from Neil Diamond who I'm
going to see tomorrow, cant wait. I'll have to be careful I
don't get trampled by Neil's lady fans. Smile

Sweet Caroline.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Jerry Lee's Break my Mind was a goodie. So was Johnny Rae's Walking in the Rain. Frankie's Moonlight Gambler is perfect for the night.

More synchronicity. Tomorrow, ION tv will be showing Kevin Costner's JFK

Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline was about John F. Kennedy's daughter, so I think that I shall say goodnight with the one that they played at the Irish President's funeral.

So nice to have the flower lady with us as well as London and Dublin.

From Letty with love and tender memories.

@edgarblythe,
Hurry back, edgar. That slide show of We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel was great. Certainly brought back many memories here.

Two songs for the early morning here.

First, a master violinist

@Letty,
I love a good violin. Actually, sometimes I love a bad violin.
They have been showing that JFK film on TV lately, letty. While I never was a fan of JFK, I was as devastated as anybody when all that happened.

@edgarblythe,
I never was a fan of JFK either, edgar, but I will always wonder about his assassination. Great one by Leonard and you're right. That violin is marvelous. Loved the visuals as well.

Thinking of my cat big Momma who really and I mean REALLY played the piano. She would sit on the edge of the key board and use her paw to touch all the black notes. Spooky.

@edgarblythe,
Don't know that one by The Skyliners, edgar. Thanks for the introduction.

Surprise!

Four stars from the classic TV show "Happy Days" are telling CBS to "sit on it."

Anson Williams, Don Most, Marion Ross, Erin Moran and the estate of Tom Bosley are all suing the network because they claim they have not been paid for merchandising revenues they are owed under their contracts.

Remember this one, Texas?

@edgarblythe,
Love that song, edgar. Never heard it by Gene and George or anyone else, however. Thanks for the introduction.

How about a little jazz for the afternoon. This is a tribute to George Clooney. The only movie that I ever enjoyed by him is O Brother Where Art Thou. What great lip syncing.
