Hey, Irish. Loved that one by Gnarls Barkley. Never heard him before. Hurry back, buddy.

edgar, Your Goodnight song by Frank was great as was your Charlie Pride doing Hank Williams. You hurry back as well.

Been having a bit of trouble with the equipment here. Not certain what the problem is, folks. Keep 'em comin' cause we need to keep our cyber radio on the air.

A couple of tributes to Jimmy Webb who deserves it.

First, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress

@edgarblythe,
Good morning "pop pickers".

A cat crazy day yesterday I see.. Smile

Nice song by Rod Miss Letty, I thought I'd heard all his
songs, but that was new to me. Pleasant surprise.
You're Mr D wouldn't play Ed. But I'm really getting to
like Don Gibson, listening to his song cheered me up
straight away, It would put a spring in your step.

Glastonbury, brings back good memories, I was there
3 years running in the late 80's, seen some brilliant
acts there including these guys " The Waterboys"
with their song about Glastonbury. Later yawl.

Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come.

Well they tell me of a pie up in the sky
Waiting for me when I die
But between the day you're born and when you die
They never seem to hear even your cry

So as sure as the sun will shine
I'm gonna get my share now of what's mine
And then the harder they come the harder they'll fall, one and all
Ooh the harder they come the harder they'll fall, one and all

Well the officers are trying to keep me down
Trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done

Yeah, the harder they come, the harder they'll fall one and all
What I say now, what I say now, awww
What I say now, what I say one time
The harder they come the harder they'll fall one and all

ooh yeah oh yeah woh yeah ooooh

And I keep on fighting for the things I want
Though I know that when you're dead you can't
But I'd rather be a free man in my grave
Than living as a puppet or a slave

Yeah, the harder they come, the harder they'll fall one and all
What I say now, what I say now, awww
What I say now, what I say one time
The harder they come the harder they'll fall one and all
Ooh the harder they come the harder they'll fall one and all

edgar, Thanks for your comments and loved The Winterlude by "the jester". He is different in so many ways.

Brit, brushing your fur off the keys gave me a smile because my mom used to say "...cat fur to make kitten britches.." Never understood that until I realized she was trying to correct a student who said, "...what fer.."

I am totally taken by the Glastonbury Festival. Like edgar, I never heard of it before.

Irish, Waterboys are marvelous. Just Found God and The Whole of the Moon were really good. Fleetwood Mac I do know and I loved listening to Little Lies. Bread's Guitar Man I also know. Thanks for your contributions.

Brit, I am so delighted that you and euroGeorge appear here on our cyber radio. Jimmy Cliff and The Harder they Come reflects the spirit of your festival.

Two songs for near noon time here. First, I love Samoa and searched for this one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usw4faii7YE&feature=related

Now, a birthday man. I think I read all of his short stories and the mystery of his death is unresolved.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhsFvMKsaMs

I attempted to find a better tribute to him, but had no luck.

Hope that I didn't confuse the contributions. Up late last evening a bit concerned about the weather.

Here's another birthday boy, Miss L.

Jeff Beck at last summer's Crossroads Guitar Festival here in Chicago. It was HOT, HOT, HOT out there but it was a great day.
