My Beatles favorites on that list are In My Life, And I Love her and Norwegian Wood (which I never considered a love song).

My word, I missed our Irishman.

Ride Like the Wind was great and I especially liked the visuals. Sailing another good one.

Al Stewart On the Border a new one, too. Wow, euroGeorge. thanks for the introduction.

edgar, thanks for keeping us up to date with your comments.

Summer Rain by Johnny Rivers was a tribute to the color green.

Incideantally, Texas, Norwegian Wood was really about "a lady of the evening".

Course, you know that I love Ebb Tide by Roy.

Since I couldn't understand the lyrics to Summer Rain, here they are.

Summer rain taps at my window
West wind soft as a sweet dream
My love warm as the sunshine
Sittin' here by me, she's here by me-ee-ee

She stepped out of the rainbow
Golden hair shinin' like moon glow
Warm lips soft as a soul
Sittin' here by me, she's here by me-ee-ee

All summer long we spent dancin' in the sand
And the jukebox kept on playin'
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

We sailed into the sunset
Drifted home caught by a gulf stream
Never gave a thought for tomorrow
Just let tomorrow be, now, let tomorrow be-ee-ee

instrumental interlude

She wants to live in the Rockies
She says that's where we'll find peace
Settle down, raise up a fam'ly
To call our own, yeah, we’ll have a home

All summer long we spent groovin' in the sand
Everybody kept on playin'
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

The snow drifts by my window
North wind blowin' like thunder
Our love's burnin' like fire
And she's here by me, yeah, she's here with me-ee-ee
Let tomorrow be-ee-ee-ee

instrumental to end

Ah, Love The Eagles' Desperado, buddy.

Irish, you sent me searching again.

Here's another Christopher Cross

Desparado is one of the Eagles' best. Christopher Cross reminds me somewhat of Jerry Rafferty.

Hurry back, Irish. Loved New Kid in Town.

edgar, Gerry Rafferty's Right Down the Line was new to me. I'm glad they had the lyrics to that one, texas.

Rock, Welcome back. The Eagles' Peaceful Easy Feeling is one of my favorites.

Also like Take it Easy by them.

Ah, Dinah. Is there anyone finer? Love September in the Rain, edgar.

Here's one that I've played before, but it's both good and humorous.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I knew every one of those songs. Fabulous. Texas. Yep, the funny part is at the end of the song.

We'll dedicate those to all the teachers out there, and the last one we'll just smile, mistakes and all.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Billy Joel. I hope the man gets his head together. He is such a fine performer.

So nice to have England and Ireland with us today.

From Letty with love and devotion.

David Bowie - The Laughing Gnome.

I was walking down the High Street
When I heard footsteps behind me
And there was a little old man (Hello)
In scarlet and grey, shuffling away (laughter)
Well he trotted back to my house
And he sat beside the telly (Oaah..)
With his tiny hands on his tummy
Chuckling away, laughing all day (laughter)

Oh, I ought to report you to the Gnome office
(Gnome Office)
Yes
(Hahahahaha)

Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you can't catch me"
Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you can't catch me"
Said the laughing Gnome

Well I gave him roasted toadstools and a glass of dandelion wine (Burp, pardon)
Then I put him on a train to Eastbourne
Carried his bag and gave him a fag
(Haven't you got a light boy?)
"Here, where do you come from?"
(Gnome-man's land, hahihihi)
"Oh, really?"

In the morning when I woke up
He was sitting on the edge of my bed
With his brother whose name was Fred
He'd bought him along to sing me a song

Right, let's hear it
Here, what's that clicking noise?
(That's Fred, he's a "metrognome", haha)

Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you don't catch me"
Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you can't catch me"

(Own up, I'm a gnome, ain't I right, haha)
"Haven't you got an 'ome to go to?"
(No, we're gnomads)
"Didn't they teach you to get your hair cut at school?
you look like a rolling gnome."
(No, not at the London School of Ecognomics)

Now they're staying up the chimney
And we're living on caviar and honey (hooray!)
Cause they're earning me lots of money
Writing comedy prose for radio shows
It's the-er (what?)
It's the Gnome service of course

Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you don't catch me"
Ha ha ha, oh, dear me

(Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you can't catch me"
Ha ha ha, hee hee hee
"I'm a laughing Gnome and you can't catch me")

(One more time, yeah)

Good morning from Florida, WA2K folks.

edgar, Your final tribute to Memorial Day was wonderful. The visuals brought back some memories that I shouldn't have. Hurry back, Texas. Old Soldiers Never Die is one that I know. Well, there's our Texan with one by Nat. Love LOVE by the guy.

Hey, Brit, welcome back to you as well. Loved the gnome song, buddy, as well as the salute to Marvin Gaye by Paul Hardcastle.

Two songs for the morning here.

First, another version of the laughing gnome.
