Ah, euroGeorge, you know what I love and Andrea is one of them. Thanks, Irish, and goodnight.

osso, edgar will love that one as do I. I'm concerned about him, actually.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with a moon song.

@edgarblythe,
Goodnight, edgar. That response is what I call a succinct observation. Wish all of my stacks of paper work could be so.

Martha, yawl.

I consider the Platters early records some of the best there is. Only You one of the best of their best.

I never watched Citizen Kane, so never knew any great music had been part of it.

Here is Bob Dylan, from his first record album

@Barry The Mod,
Fantastic song by Ketty Lester, Brit. Once Upon a Time is my kind of song. You hurry back, too.

Today is Patti LaBelle's birthday, so here is a tribute to her using her own lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRkHu6spDEo&feature=related

If Only You Knew - Patti LaBelle

I must have rehearsed my lines
A thousand times
Until I had them memorized
But when I get up the nerve
To tell you, the words
Just never seem to come out right

(Chorus:)
If only you knew
How much I do
Do love you
If only you knew
How much I do
Do need you

I dream of moments we share
But you're not there
I'm living in a fantasy
'Cause you don't even suspect
Could prob'ly care less
About the changes I've been going through

(Repeat chorus)

No, you don't even suspect
Could prob'ly care less
About the changes I've been going through

(Repeat chorus until fade)

@ossobuco,
Great photo's osso. My daughter saw him in Charlottesville, Virginia.

I tried to watch this movie, but knew that it would make me too sad.

The story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, a boxer wrongly imprisoned for murder, and the people who aided in his fight to prove his innocence.

The movie about Hurricane Carter was very weak. It did not cover the events detailed in Bob's song very well. Mostly it was about efforts to free him.

Patti Labelle - I don't always like her songs, but that was pretty good.

Now the lyrics to our euro's George's lady.

Love
It’s a crazy make my heart go
Upsy daisy 'n make my blood flow
not so lazy ‘cos I love you inside out

Time
Is a wastin’ why d’ya hold out
so frustratin’‘cos you know that
You’re lookin’ amazinn' and I love you inside out

I love your eyes blue as the skies
I love you lips to your fingertips
I love your bones your old sticks and stones yeah
I love you inside out

Oh don’t you believe me
Yeah, I know it’s kinda creepy
Oh but oh you’re lovin’ it deeply
Admit it I did it you know you’re gonna keep me

So
Say you love me like a hobo
Worn and grubby but you know though
No one above me and you love me inside out

Oh yeah yeah

So don’t you believe me
Yeah I know it’s kinda creepy
Oh but oh you’re lovin’ it deeply
Admit it I did it you know you’re gonna keep me

Oh Say you love me like a hobo
Worn and grubby but you know though
No one above me and you love me inside out

I love your chin and the skin that you're in
I love your nails even your entrails
I love your soul even your little mole
Yeah, I love you inside out

I love your arms and your laugh aloud charms
I love your wits and all your wobbly bits
I love your lungs and your talking tongue
Yeah I love you inside out
Yeah.

Jane Seymour has been trending recently, and I recall her as Solitaire in Roger Moor's version of James Bond. Let's listen to the theme from it, shall we?

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comments, edgar, and I most certainly know I Got Stripes Around my Shoulders from the man in black.

More synchronicity, Texas. Today Is Rosanne Cash's birthday.

Love that song!

Hey, Irish. That lady in black doing Bob matches the man in black. Thanks, Dublin.

Evening all, it's a quarter to midnight and I've just about recovered from a pretty gruelling 300 mile drive today, half of which was mountain roads, but the head is still buzzing a bit and I'm having a hot chocolate in an attempt to wind down before going off to zzzland.
I'd been listening to some mellow stuff on the final part of the journey....you know, the type of easy listening that every radio station around the world usually plays in the dead of night.
One that I really enjoyed was "La Vie en Rose", and I've been looking it up on youtube. As one does on youtube, you get drawn slightly off target and listening to related tunes and suchlike.
Doing this just now, I discovered a little Vie en Rose related gem......with a stunning photo slideshow that just sets the whole mood of the thing.

So.....take some deep breaths, pour yourselves a small Marie Brisard, put on your beret, light a gauloise and enjoy.....

Note - Best enjoyed with youtube item on fullscreen, music volume up loud and breath slightly smelling of garlic.

@Old Goat,
O.G. Welcome back. Never heard those songs played on an accordion, and I especially liked the black and white photos.

Know both of the songs, however. Had to verify why I knew the lyrics with my older sister to this one. I love French music.
