@eurocelticyankee,
Nat always deserves "red carpet treatment", Irish. Love Pretend by him.

Speaking of carpets, yawl, how about this wolf bunch.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, loved your goodnight song by Andre, and here are the lyrics.

I'm gettin' married in the morning
Ding-dong the bells are gonna chime
Pull out the stopper, we'll have a whopper
Get me to the church on time

I've got to get there in the morning
Spruced up and lookin' in my prime
Girls come and kiss me, say that you'll miss me
Get me to the church on time

If I am dancing roll up the floor
If I am whistling, out the door

I'm gettin'' married in the morning
Ding-ding-dong they're gonna chime
Kick up a rumpass, don't lose the compass
Get me to the church, get me to the church, for
petes sake get me to the church on time

Don Williams' song was great as well. Perfect for the morning here.

George, I Hope You Dance brought a tiny tear to my eye. What a wonderful tribute to your daughter. You must tell us what her doctorate will include.

For your lovely bride, Paul's Something so Right should make her smile. Love it!

Here's a birthday boy for the morning, yawl.

@Barry The Mod,
Hey, Brit. You hurry back. Chris Rainbow's Don't Take the Night Away was awesome. Yep, night time is the right time for stars and a big full moon.

Another magic bit. Today is Pete's birthday.

You must tell us what her doctorate will include. . .

It's in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
Her research is "Oligonucleotides Targeting the CR4-CR5 Domain
of Human Telomerase RNA".

I don't know what it means, either.

@JPB,
Ah, you beat me to it, flower lady. Love that one by Sam

George, I do know that RNA is the memory gene. Ask your daughter if she can do some research on genetic memory other than instinct. I know songs that I shouldn't know, and I can't figure out why.

A Memory song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDlSpCvnSzM&feature=related

The lyrics

Waking skies at sunrise,
every sunset, too,
seems to be bringing me
memories of you.

Here and there, everywhere,
scenes that we once knew.
And they all just recall
memories of you.

How I wish I could forget
those happy yesteryears
that have left
a rosary of tears.

Your face beams in my dreams
spite of all I do.
Everything seems to bring
memories of you.
Those memories of you.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas. Loved Charlie Rich's Puttin' in Overtime at Home.

Inspired by George's daughter I've been doing quite a bit of research myself.

I always thought genetic memory had to do with the instinct of certain creatures to know what to do without being taught. Found this by Jung.

In psychology, genetic memory is a memory present at birth that exists in the absence of sensory experience, and is incorporated into the genome over long spans of time. It is based on the idea that common experiences of a species become incorporated into its genetic code, not by a Lamarckian process that encodes specific memories but by a much vaguer tendency to encode a readiness to respond in certain ways to certain stimuli.

A different concept is cultural memory, which is the retention of habits, customs, myths, and artifacts of social groups. Cultural memory postdates genetic memory in the evolution of the human species, only coming into being with the development of language, and thus the possibility of the transmission of experience.

Genetic memory is invoked to explain the memory postulated by Carl Jung. In Jungian psychology memories are posited memories, feelings and ideas inherited from our ancestors as part of a "collective unconscious"

Well, don't know why I know this one.

Nice tunes from Buddy & Charlie.
Goober peas.... Laughing

Heres an group I've just discovered "Emily Barker and the red clay halo"
I never would have only their playing the soundtrack to a new 7 pt series
on BBC that I've started watching " The Shadow Line"
I really like them & will have to invest in an album.

Pause...(soundtrack from shadow line)

@eurocelticyankee,
Wow! That Shadow Line looks like a spooky series, Irish. Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo was awesome. Thanks for the introduction and your comments.

Well, most of us know that goober peas are peanuts, so let's see if we recall this one.

Much of my personal thought and belief is based on the work of persons such as Jung. My near lifelong following of Phillip Wylie has kept the concepts in my mind, although Wylie used a different vernacular for discussing such topics. Critics tried to assert that Wylie was wrong about Jung, but Wylie quotes a personal letter from Carl, in which he tells Wylie, "You have understood better than the others -"
