@edgarblythe,
Great one by Lefty, edgar. Love it! My favorite by him is Long Black Veil, however. What a great thing for him to do.

@edgarblythe,
I've always loved Johnny Mercer's songs and lyrics, edgar.

Oh, my gawd, edgar. I loved that version of Mama Don't Allow No Music played in Here. More synchronicity, 'cause I was trying to do that one by Doc Watson, but it didn't work.

How about one from Ireland.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, edgar. Love Hank Sr's I Just Told Mama Goodbye. Tiny tear appeared listening to that one.

Well, my mama loved this man, so I'm saying goodnight with Nelson.

Good morning WA2K folks. Promises to be a beautiful day here in Florida.

edgar, thanks again for your comment on my mom's favorite singer. Medals for Mothers by the Wilburn Brothers was great. Also enjoyed your morning song by Elvis. Don't know Don't, however. You hurry back, Texas.

Hey Brit, Welcome back and you hurry back as well.

Fantastic song by Wilfred Brambell. Secondhand by the guy reminded me that Steptoe and Son could be matched with Sanford and Son.

Wow! Spyro Gyra great jazz song sent me searching.

Spyro Gyra (pronounced /ˌspaɪroʊˈdʒaɪrə/) is an American jazz fusion band that was originally formed in the mid-1970s in Buffalo, New York, USA. With over 25 albums released and 10 million copies sold, they are among the most prolific as well as commercially successful groups of the genre. Among their most successful hit singles are "Shaker Song" and "Morning Dance", which received significant play on popular music radio stations, and are still frequently heard nearly 30 years later on jazz and easy listening stations.

Thanks for the introduction.

Two songs for the morning, yawl.

I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. I dont speak a word of italian, but when I found a translation I knew why...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av6aEqbFPWc

Ore d'Amore

Ore d'Amore non ho
per non innamorarmi piu'
io non ho che momenti
parlo soltanto se devo
e non chiedo
a nessuno mai
di restare con me
e solo te che vorrei
soltanto te

Il tuo posto era qui'
vicino a me
io guardare non so
dove non sei
gli occhi miei
sopra ai tuoi
e poi e poi...

Ore d'Amore non ho
per non innamorarmi piu'
dopo te
non ho amato mai
e solo te che vorrei
soltanto te

Il tuo posto era qui'
vicino a me
io guardare non so
dove non sei
gli occhi miei
sopra ai tuoi
e poi e poi...

Ore d'Amore non ho
per non innamorarmi piu'
dopo te
non ho amato mai
Ore d'Amore non ho
per non innamorarmi piu'

English
Love hours

Love hours I don't have
so that I won't fall in love again
I only have moments
I speak only if I must
and I don't ask
anyone, ever
to stay with me
it's only you that I'd want
only you

Your place was here
close to me
I don't know how to look
where you are not
my eyes
over yours
and then, and then...

Love hours I don't have
so that I won't fall in love again
after you
I have never loved again
it's only you that I'd want
only you

Your place was here
close to me
I don't know how to look
where you are not
my eyes
over yours
and then, and then...

Love hours I don't have
so that I won't fall in love again
after you
I have never loved again
Love hours I don't have
so that I won't fall in love again

First time I heard anybody but Barbra Striesand sing Second Hand Rose.
Hank Snow is a great singer. He was at one time my mother's favorite artist.

@edgarblythe,
I agree about Sidney, edgar. So many fine actors we never see any more.

Well, Texas, you sent me searching again. Don't remember that Miami Vice Theme.

Jan Hammer (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjan ˈɦamɛr]) (born 17 April 1948, in Prague, then Czechoslovakia, today the Czech Republic) is a composer, pianist and keyboardist. He is probably best known for playing keyboards with the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the early 70s, as well as his "Miami Vice Theme" and "Crockett's Theme", from the popular 1980s US television program, Miami Vice.

Hammer has collaborated with some of the era's most influential jazz and rock musicians such as Jeff Beck, Al Di Meola, Mick Jagger, Carlos Santana, Stanley Clarke, Neal Schon, Steve Lukather, and Elvin Jones among many others. He has composed and produced at least 14 original motion picture soundtracks, the music for 90 episodes of Miami Vice and 20 episodes of the popular British television series Chancer.

Here's a familiar one, however.
