@edgarblythe,
You sent me searching again, edgar.

Julie Rogers, the youngest of five children, had piano lessons and started her career after leaving Kingsbury High School. She worked as a dancer in Spain, a secretary in England, and a stewardess on a Union-Castle Line ship, before singing with the Teddy Foster orchestra, with whom she toured the UK and America. A&R man Johnny Franz signed her to a recording contract with Philips Records in 1964, and released her debut single, "It's Magic". The song was originally a hit for Doris Day in 1948.

Remember this from O Brother Where Art Thou?

Good EARLY morning WA2K folks.

edgar, Love that one by The Jarmels. Why is it that parents always tell their children to be sure and "wash behind your ears"?

Hey, Brit. Love both of the songs by Gwyneth and Huey and Gwyneth and Tim, but my favorite was the great one mocking William and Kate. The visuals were great and I wish I could have joined that funny exhibition.

Here's one by Rod for the dark of the morning, but I searched him out and was surprised to find this info.

Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE (born 10 January 1945 is a British singer-songwriter and musician, born and raised in North London, England and currently residing in Epping. He is of Scottish and English ethnicity.

With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with The Jeff Beck Group and then Faces. He launched his solo career in 1969 with his debut album An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down (US: The Rod Stewart Album). His work with The Jeff Beck Group and Faces proved to be influential on the formation of the punk rock and heavy metal genres

Also found a quote that I love.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

This quote is widely attributed to Voltaire, but cannot be found in his writings. With good reason. The phrase was invented by a later author as an epitome of his attitude. It appeared in The Friends of Voltaire (1906), written by Evelyn Beatrice Hall under the pseudonym Stephen G. Tallentyre.

@Letty,
Good morning, Letty. I have always admired Rod Stewart. His "I Don't Want to Talk About It" is one of the most sensitive songs that I have ever heard.

@wandeljw,
wandel, welcome back. For some reason, I have trouble hearing the lyrics on things in my small studio, so I went searching again.

I can tell by your eyes that you've prob'bly been cryin' forever,
and the stars in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart.
but if I stay here just a little bit longer,
If I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?

If I stand all alone, will the shadow hide the colors of my heart;
blue for the tears, black for the night's fears.
The star in the sky don't mean nothin' to you, they're a mirror.
I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke my heart.
but if I stay here just a little bit longer,
if I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?
my heart, whoa my heart, this ol' heart.

I don't wanna talk about it, how you broke this old heart,
but if I stay here just a little bit longer,
if I stay here, won't you listen to my heart, whoa, my heart?
My heart, whoa, my heart.

Great one by Rod and thanks for the introduction to that song.

Found out that you were German. How delightful. I know that Annie is of Chinese ancestry, but don't know about Katrina. Love ethnicity, buddy.

More synchronicity. Today is Sergei Prokofiev birthday and here is a song played by a wonderful pianist involving Romeo and Juliet. I remember him best for Peter and the Wolf where every character was an instrument.

Today is also Shakespeare's birthday, so here is a tribute to the Bard.

Katrina is a combination of German, Italian, and Irish.

I am very proud of my lovely daughters:

@wandeljw,
You should be, wandel. They are both beautiful and, I'm certain, they are proud of you.

More ethnicity. Today is Dev Patel's birthday. I did not see the movie, but hear is the theme from it.

edgar, Thanks for your comments. Loved I Was Only Joking and Trade Winds by Billy Vaughn was fantastic. Thanks, Texas.

Be sure and check out Prokofiev and Shakespeare, yawl.

Today is Sandra Dee's birthday. How very sad it makes me feel, both for Bobby and her.

@Letty,
Good afternoon. I was rudely called to work, earlier. After that, I got busy with domestic duties. I have been using a product called MMS to purify three rooms and could not enter them, including my computer room.

I like the music of Romeo and Juliet.
The Shakespeare video was interesting.
