@edgarblythe,
ethnicity is my passion just as music, edgar. Don't know that one by the Animals, but thanks for the introduction.

Today is Wayne Newton's birthday, and I love this medley of songs that he sings. Although his most popular was Danke Schon, it's not one of my favorites.

I have always thought Wayne sang well, but I never did like the Danke Schon song by any artist.

@edgarblythe,
Love April Showers by "the velvet fog", edgar.

Nat sings about spring, but it's a sad song.

I know most of Nat's songs I think, but didn't know that one.
Here is a song about a funny girl.

@edgarblythe,
I vaguely recall that movie with Babs, edgar. As Fanny Brice, didn't she break all the rules by singing one song then turning sideways to show her "with child"? Razz. That's a euphemism.

You sent me searching, Texas. Omar played in the movie Mayerling. T.S. Eliot's poem, The Wasteland may have referred to the tragedy of this man's death.

Here is more info on the Austrian king.

@Letty,
I did not see the film of Funny Girl. I am fairly certain the song I played precedes the movie.

Lots of theories there, letty. I am not educated on the subject enough to form an opinion.
I like Omar, but have not seen that movie.

@edgarblythe,
I never heard that one by Ricky, edgar. It was great, and I loved the visuals, too.

Odd, more synchronicity, Texas. I was searching for the Vienna Boy's Choir and came across this one and the palindromic ABBA's version.

Hey, Texas. Don't know Foy Willing nor Where the Cool Clear Water Spills, but it does remind me of this one, buddy.

I don't know those guys, but I do know the song. Truthfully, I didn't care for them. I beg your pardon.

@edgarblythe,
I know that one by Frankie Carle, edgar. Love it, too. I think that was a jukebox song, but not certain.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with "old blue eyes"

Good morning, radio people. There will be a stormy Monday in Houston, but we on the west side may not get much of it. If you can believe what's on television. As I always do.

Good morning from Florida, WA2K folks.

edgar, loved your goodnight song, and here are the lyrics.

I look at you and suddenly,
Something in your eyes I see
Soon begins bewitching me.
It's that old devil moon
That you stole from the skies.
It's that old devil moon
In your eyes.

You and you glance
Make this romance
Too hot to handle.
Stars in the night
Blazing their light
Can't hold a candle
To your razzle-dazzle.

You've got me flyin' high and wide
On a magic carpet ride
Full of butterflies inside.
Wanna cry, wanna croon,
Wanna laugh like a loon.
It's that old devil moon
In your eyes.

Just when I think, I'm
Free as a dove.
Old devil moon,
Deep in your eyes,
Blinds me with love.

Good jazz song, Texas.

Also enjoyed your morning song by "the steak man" T-Bone Razz

Hey, Brit. Loved all of your comparison songs. Rumer is a lady with a fantastic voice. Aretha is also great as is Otis and her Respect.

Sam Cooke and her A Change is Gonna Come, hard to beat, buddy.

I just saw the strangest animal from my studio window. It looked like a large black cat with a long tail. It looked at me for a moment, then disappeared.

Today is Robert Downey, Jr's birthday, and I was surprised to realize that the man could sing. Don't know why, however.

I recently saw Robert in Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed it, for the most part.
I know I've played this before, but I love Jerry Butler's singing. This is the first version of the song I heard and it is my favorite.

G'day Folks, hard day at the office today, nice to listen to some
good sounds when you get home, particularly liked Aretha's songs
and T-Bone Walker.

Bob Dylan....Hurricane, enjoy it now, it'll probably be removed shortly.
