euro, I have never heard the introductory verse to Blue Moon. Love it!
Unfortunately, Roy wouldn't play in the USof A. Probably my fault. Miss Taffy you are a bad girl.
Here's the final verse to the poem that I mentioned.
"There was just one sweet potato.
He was golden brown and slim.
The lady loved his dancing,
The lady loved his dancing,
The lady loved his dancing,
She danced all night with him,
She danced all night with him.
Alas, he wasn't Irish.
So when she flew away,
They threw him in the coal-bin,
And there he is today,
Where they cannot hear his sighs
And his weeping for the lady,
The glorious Irish lady,
The beauteous Irish lady,
Who
Gives
Potatoes
Eyes."
Vachel Lindsay
Another version of The Shadow of Your Smile, yawl.
The man singing Green Grass of Home takes me back to the time I spent in Japan and the TV programs I watched there. This performance was typical: American song with some words in English, the rest in Japanese. Loved it all.
Great version of Clair de lune.

Good Night, everyone! Here is a nice version of my favorite Broadway song, "Don't Quit While You're Ahead" from the Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Thanks, wandel. I appreciate anything to do with Dickens' works.
I'm a rebel
I'm a rebel.
Soul rebel
I'm a capturer..
Soul adventurer..
See the morning sun, (ah ah ah ah ah)
On the hill side.
(ooh) Not living good, yeah, travel wide.
Said I'm a living man, (ah ah ah ah ah)
I got work to do.
If you're not happy children,
Must be blue. (must be blue, must be blue)
I'm a rebel
I'm a rebel.
Soul rebel
I'm a capturer..
Soul adventurer..
I'm a rebel..
I'm a rebel..
Soul rebel..
I'm a capturer..
Soul adventurer..
See the morning sun, (ah ah ah ah ah)
On the hill side.
(ooh) Not living good, yeah, travel wide.
Said I'm a living man, (ah ah ah ah ah)
I got work to do.
If you're not happy children,
Must be blue. (must be blue, must be blue)
I'm a rebel
I'm a rebel
Soul rebel..
Do you want to sing?
Do you want to sing?
Do you want some more?
I'm a rebel..
I'm a rebel..
Soul rebel..
I'm a capturer..
Soul adventurer...................................

Robbie Robertson - Shine Your Light.
Wandel, loved your goodnight song. Odd, I know the name Edwin Drood, but never read that one by Dickens. I think that may have been in the days when I was fascinated with unsolved mysteries. Drop in here more often.
edgar, as you know, I love Hank Snow and perhaps you recall Homer and Jethro's parody of that song.
Hey, Brit. Flamenco Chill, Soul Rebel, and Shine Your light were all great songs, buddy. Thanks, London.
Good morning, edgar. Don't know that one by "the jester". Thanks for the introduction.
Good Afternoon Yawl.
Enjoyed all the latest offerings, especially the two Bob's.
Here's one from the maestro... Sing along
The Least We Can Do, by Christy Moore.
The least we can do, is make the world a better place
Not just for a few, but all the human race
To end wars and quarrels, make John Lennon's dream come true
Build a new set of morals, It's the least we can do.
Show some love and compassion, when people are feeling low
Make it not just a fashion, that may come and go
Bring an end to oppression, ' it imprisons the truth
And be free without expression, It's the least that we can do.
So follow his rainbow, deep into the evening sun
And pray that It's colours, will together blend as one
Seek and we may find, the dream he loved to persue
A peace for all mankind, it's the least we can do
Well, Irish, just to remind myself of your fantastic performer, I went searching again.
Moore was born in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. He was originally a bank employee who wanted to express himself using traditional music. A bank strike in 1966, which lasted six months (and effectively paralysed Irish commercial life for the duration), resulted in Moore spending considerable time practising music. When the strike ended, Moore had already decided where his passion in life arose, and left the bank for good.
From banker to beautiful. Love The Least We Can Do.
We invited Reba McEntire in our studio today, and since it's her birthday, she's going to sing for us. The truth is so much easier than lies, because one never forget what is true; lies, however, are difficult to recall.
letty, I appreciate the Cherokee Morning Song. Also Bad Boys video.

Bob Dylan's Precious Angel, the song I played this morning, was written shortly after he was converted to Christianity. For three years, he wrote and performed Christian music, to honor the three years the traditional Jesus was said to have preached.

The one by Christy Moore sounds very nice.
Happy birthday to Reba - I don't mind hearing her, but don't really go for her stuff too much.
