Good early morning from Florida, Brit and Francis.

Love the Beach Boys song. Don't know that one, however. Thanks for the introduction.

I think that song I Will Always Love You was originally done by Dolly Parton for Porter Wagoner. That's what edgar observed, and who am I to disagree with him.

Today is Charlotte Church's birthday, and what a wonderful discovery, yawl.

The Flower Duet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR85R1sv94g&NR=1&feature=fvwp

The English lyrics?

Flower Duet

Under the thick dome, where the white jasmine
Assembles at the rose,
On the river of flowers, laughing in the morning.
Come, let's descend together.
Gently, let's slip
Around its charming flood.
Let's follow the fleeing current:
In one trembling hand,
One nonchalant,
Come, let's find the bank
Where the source sleeps.
And the bird, the bird sings.
Under the thick dome,
Under the white jasmine,
Let's descend together.

But, I don't know what sudden fear
seizes me,
When my father goes alone to their cursed city;
I tremble, I tremble from fear.

So that the God Ganesha protects him,
Until the pond where swans with snow-white wings
play together joyously.
Let's go pick blue lotuses.

Yes, near swans with snow-white wings,
Let's pick blue lotuses
Together

@Letty,
The graphics in the Buffy St Marie tribute were great, letty. Couldn't quite get past the poster not using her voice for the music. Consequently, me being a fan, I went to the archives for one by her. She won an Oscar for this one

I remember Bluebirds Over the Mountain from an earlier version By Erschel Hickey. I Will Always Love You - a true classic. Don't know the Flower Duet, but it is very nice, letty. Incidentally, good morning, everybody. See ya all later.

Hurry back, edgar. I guess the reason that they didn't do Buffy's voice is because it was a tribute to her.

Loved Up Where We Belong, and thanks again for your comments.

Cherrio, old chap. Razz (cheerios is what I had for breakfast this morning)

Hurry back, London. You too, Paris.

Loved that elephant song. I never see an elephant (East Indian or African) that I don't think of Dave, our little pachyderm.

Tribute to the presidents. Some of those songs in the background are hilarious.

He's getting a haircut for President's Day in the USA. Hmm. Wonder what the donkey is doing?

@edgarblythe,
edgar, That one by Johnny about Mr. Garfield was awesome. Thanks, Texas.

Here's an interesting video, and was I surprised to learn of the attempts on a sitting president's life.

It is not intended to be a slur, just an observation, folks.

Can't resist, yawl. Razz

Many Lees were instrumental in our history too, of course. McKinley generally gets overlooked. Here is something for him.

@edgarblythe,
You're right, edgar. He has been overlooked in history. Thanks for that tribute and memory for McKinley.

Well, this may seem overly patriotic, but it's true. We are still free.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I really loved that Mr. President by Pete Seeger, and Roy's Blues song was fantastic. Listened twice, buddy.

I was thinking about the last campaign song ever done. It was FDR's Happy Days are Here Again. (of course, Eva and I did one called Pancho for Prez. Razz)

Here's Babs to do the sultry version, yawl.
