@edgarblythe,
Don't know that one by The Fab Four, edgar. Thanks for the memory.

I went searching again, and found this one by Al Jolson. He broke all the rules as well.

Many performers who saw Jolson's stage shows called him the greatest performer ever - so I read.

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Lionel, edgar. Hey, say "Once Twice Three Times a Letty. Razz

Yes, I do believe that Al did everything. Thanks again for your comment.

Well, Lionel mentioned masquerade, so let's hear a bit of great jazz by Brook Benton.

February 12, 2011|By the CNN Wire Staff

Divers explore the debris field left by the 1823 sinking of the Two Brothers whaling ship, off French Frigate Shoals.In an instance of truth being stranger than fiction, American author Herman Melville turned to a horrifying ordeal as inspiration for his 19th-century classic "Moby-Dick."

In 1820, the Nantucket, Massachusetts, whaling vessel Essex was rammed and sunk in the South Pacific by a sperm whale.

George Pollard Jr. and his surviving crew, initially using three small boats that were aboard the Essex, resorted to cannibalism while they drifted in the open ocean for more than two months before being picked up by other vessels.

@edgarblythe,
I sent that news to yitwail, edgar. yitwail in Japanese may be translated to Moby Dick. Not certain, however

Loved your Tom Waits tale, buddy, and don't know if I'll be able to watch "the jester" and the grammy's or not, however.

Here's a song to match Tom's.

@edgarblythe,
Well, Texas, you sent me to the archives again.

Louis Jordan (July 8, 1908 – February 4, 1975[1]) was a pioneering American jazz, blues and rhythm & blues musician, songwriter and bandleader who enjoyed his greatest popularity from the late 1930s to the early 1950s. Known as "The King of the Jukebox", Jordan was highly popular with both black and white audiences in the later years of the swing era. In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #59 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time

edgar, thanks for the comment on Art. Love that Skin to Skin by Harry. His singing partner has a fantastic voice as well

Osso, Welcome back. Your Wind That Shakes the Barley was fantastic, and I love that Irish whistle. What a slide show of Donegal.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with a new voice, but a wonderful old song.

We'll dedicate this to our firefly.

Another sleepless night, yawl.

edgar, great song about The True Tale of John Hardy. Good luck to you and Reyn today.

Thanks for Norah Jones' Heart of Mine, Rock.

Hey, Brit. I believe that I like your version of Love is in the Air better than The Smurfs, and My Funny Valentine is one of my favorites. We'll all love you tomorrow. Razz

Here's one by The Insomniacs. We'll dedicate this to me.

Since this is the anniversary of The Saint Valentine's Massacre, we'll listen to Paper Lace, but Chicago Joe pointed out that just as John Denver missed his land marks in West Virginia, so did Paper Lace. It was not the East side, it was the North side. Nothing wrong with my RNA.
