@edgarblythe,
I had forgotten about Johnny Ringo, edgar. That was a great song. I do recall that Michael Biehn played him in Tombstone. (I like Lorne as well)

There is some question, however, whether he really was a bad guy.

Another Ringo

Arrival - Friends

I had a friend who had friends by a river
They too had friends who had friends of their own
All seated round takin' port after dinner,
Port that was bought by the friends that were known

No one ever seems to care
Just as long as they were there
Friends beside you
Friends to guide you
Friends beside you, everywhere

There's nothing new, it's all there to remind you
It's no different anyway you recall
You only wait around and float on every corner
And know you're in luck
'Cause you know them more

No one ever seems to care
Just as long as you are there

Friends beside you ( beside you)
There to guide you (to guide you)
Friends beside you (beside you)
Everywhere (everywhere)

We all have friends who have friends by a river
We too have friends who have friends of their own
All seated round drinkin' port after dinner
Port that is bought by the friends for their own

No one ever seems to care
Just as long as we are there

Friends beside you
Friends to guide you
Friends deciding you to stay
Friends beside you (you need)
Friends to guide you (you know you need)
Friends beside you (you need)
Friends to guide you (you really need)
Friends beside you (you need)
Friends to guide you (you need)
Friends beside.#

At least I don't have to cook lunch.Eating out Very Happy .

Good morning from our Florida studio, yawl.

edgar, I never heard I'll Be Home by Pat Boone nor have I heard that one Jimmy Reed. Thanks for the introduction, Texas.

Hey, Rock. Thanks for that one by The Grateful Dead. Stella Blue was awesome.

Well, well, Brit. Glad that you have guests and are enjoying your Sunday brunch.

Queens' Friends Will Be Friends was perfect for your gathering.

Think that I'll skip comment on Rowan Atkinson, however, although it gave me a secret smile. Razz

Arrival is also great for the occasion.

Today is Robbie Williams' birthday, and I invited him to perform for us in our radio studio.

I had a delightful evening at dinner last night.Maybe too delightful, however, so I hope that I did not miss anyone.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, I thought that Robbie's was a little confusing as well.

You sent me to the archives, Texas.

Henry Charles Bukowski (born Heinrich Karl Bukowski; August 16, 1920 – March 9, 1994) was a German-American poet, novelist and short story writer. His writing was influenced by the social, cultural and economic ambience of his home city of Los Angeles. It is marked by an emphasis on the ordinary lives of poor Americans, the act of writing, alcohol, relationships with women and the drudgery of work. Bukowski wrote thousands of poems, hundreds of short stories and six novels, eventually having over 60 books in print. In 1986 Time called Bukowski a "laureate of American lowlife"

Great one, and thanks for the introduction.

Today is Grant Wood's birthday, so here is a tribute to the man.

Grant Wood was a wonderful artist. I saw a number of paintings I don't recall.
Got some Donovan this morning. A topic very near and dear this weekend.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, thanks for the comment on Grant Wood. The only one that I recall was American Gothic.

Ah, yes, Texas. I understand about Gold Watch Blues by Donovan, and here's one to match by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Today is his birthday.

In those days, the miners were paid with script that could only be redeemed at The Company Store.

Also, in other occupations the company store was the only viable option. For instance, as in Grapes of Wrath, the farm workers.

@edgarblythe,
exactly, edgar, the dust bowl had nothing to do with football. (just a little humor). The Grapes of Wrath was banned at one time, but I'm certain that you know why.

I do agree with the First Lady. Laughter can save a marriage.

Don't know Mule Boogie, Texas, but it reminded me of this one

@edgarblythe,
I taught many transportation songs to show the change in America and around the world, edgar.

That Redemption song was fantastic. I was particularly impressed with the Oriental man playing what must have been a wooden flute. Going to listen and watch again shortly.

A funny Valentine song, yawl.
