For Your Love and Mr Tamberine Man - good songs.
8 Miles High was banned on the radio station I used to listen to. The station considered the lyrics drug references.

Wow! what great songs we're having played here on WA2K radio.

edgar, I did know You Can't Do that either, but it was great. Interesting about Eight Miles High.

Thanks to all of you for the comments, incidentally.

Irish, Paul Brady's The Long Goodbye was great. Don't know him, but thanks for the introduction.

dj, Welcome back. Don't know The Rosebuds, but that was one awesome song and you're right, the visuals are fantastic.

You Are What You Love by Jenny Lewis was a new one to me, Canada, but I enjoyed listening. Thanks.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, it's dark and cold here. I did, however, do some research on The Yardbirds and found this.

The Yardbirds are an English rock band that had a string of hits in the mid 1960s, including "For Your Love", "Over Under Sideways Down" and "Heart Full of Soul". The group is notable for having started the careers of three of rock's most famous guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page, all of whom were in the top fifteen of Rolling Stone's 100 Top Guitarists.Keith Relf wrote a list with alternative names and the band members decided to choose Yardbirds, which was an expression for hobos hanging around railway stations.

Speaking of The Beatles, here's one that matches the conditions here.

Oops, missed your last song, dj. Back later to acknowledge.

Thanks for speaking and singing for your PD, edgar. Goodnight, Irish. Hurry back. Loved that song and dj knows how I love Death Cab for Cutie.

As usual, edgar, Leonard Cohen is awesome.

Incidentally, I never saw that movie with Gene Kelley either. It was just a wonderful Brigadoon song.

Saying goodnight with two songs, YAWL Razz

First, Marty Robbins.

Now a birthday girl that is Maltese. (no, not the falcon)

"Desire" was the Maltese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000, performed predominantly in English but with a bridge in Maltese by Claudette Pace.

Goodnight all. Hope that our Barry is all right.

From Letty with love to the Irish, Canada, England, and the US.

It was a pleasure to hear Claudette Pace, letty. Hearing that early Marty Robbins song has caused me to think back to the first song of his that ever caught my attention. I was not that old at the time.
