@eurocelticyankee,
Irish, that was the most captivating song that I have ever heard. I listened twice and the visuals reminded me of the ocean where I live. Thanks again for your comments.

"...roll on thou deep and dark blue ocean roll..."

How about some more Moses. Razz

@edgarblythe,
Great one by Donovan, edgar. I noticed a castle that looks rather like Ragland Castle.

Jerry Reed was a great performer.

Another wheel.

@eurocelticyankee,
Dream a Little Dream of Me was great by the Mamas and Papas, euroGeorge. You and edgar are good about making comments.

Today is Eddie Cantor's birthday. What a great cultural contribution Russian Jewish immigrants made to American, y'all.

@Letty,
Dream of Me and Round n Round are good music. Round n Round is one of my top favorites by Perry. I recall Eddie Cantor from childhood. Always liked him.

@edgarblythe,
I believe our Irishman got a kick out of Eddie. It was funny.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. My word, I had no idea that Patti Page did that one. Well, the sun ain't shining here either. Razz

Wow! an ancient thread just got bumped. I was looking for the parody on this one by Hank Snow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRz8nXFVegc&feature=related

Here it is, thanks to panz.

As recorded by Homer & Jethro
(To The Tune Of I'm Movin' On) Written by Hank Snow

The old hound dog was feelin' fine
Till he fell in a barrel of turpentine
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
He passed the gate, like an eighty-eight
He's a-movin' on.

There was a smart guy from the city
And he picked up a stripe'd kitty
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
We held our nose, as we burried his clothes
We're a-movin' on.

I let a man work on my car
Then he grabbed a-hold of a spark plug wire
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
He turned it loose, when he felt the juice
He's a-movin' on.

The old Tom cat was a-feelin' mean
When he caught his tail in the sewin' machine
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
He ripped a stitch, when he hit the ditch
He's a-movin' on.

The old man's face got white as a sheet
When he slipped and fell in his cream of wheat
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
He flapped his ears, as he shifted gears
He's a-movin' on.

Uncle John got awful clean
When he fell into the washing machine
He's a-movin' on, he's a-movin' on
He couldn't straddle, that doggone paddle
He's a-movin' on.

We travel a lot to make our showin'
The way we sing we have to keep goin'
We're a-movin' on, we're a-movin' on
We've gotta go, here comes Hank Snow
We're a-movin' on.

I knew the composer to a lot of great films died yesterday, just didn't get around to acknowledging him. Glad barry did.

Good morning, (I hope) WA2K folks.

edgar, Don't know Lonesome Hobo, but thanks for the introduction. Also, the best to you and your daughter, buddy.

Hey, Brit. Another great musician gone. He was fantastic, London. Jamie Cullen I don't know, but he was great and I hope the piano survived.

Two for the Road by Albert and Audrey was also good.

Hope I didn't miss anyone, but I'm getting ready to make a trip to the doctor and it's foggy out there.

Yo, McTag. How are you hanging? Razz

Today is Brandon Lee's birthday, and his and Bruce's death will continue to be an unsolved mystery.
