@edgarblythe,
Love Ray, edgar.

Wow! The Brothers Four I'll Follow the Sun was fantastic. I don't think that I have heard them before. Believe it or not, I remember Ben Hogan.

Well, here is a tribute to a great performer, y'all. His birthday is today.

@hamburgboy,
Hey, hbg. Just found out why they call that great vocalist "stompin' tom". So, he had to keep time by stomping his food. Loved the Snowmobile Song.

Maybe we all ought to follow this fabulous Canadian, buddy.

@Letty,
John Belushi was one of my favorites way back then.
I like pretty much anything by Dean Martin.
Also Hank Snow.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, you know how I love Paul Robeson, and Water Boy and the allusion to John Henry was fantastic. Thanks again for your comments on the music that we play here. We both remember the critics observation on Robeson and Caruso, too.

Today is Neil Diamond's birthday, and I think you'll enjoy this one, Texas. He sounds great.

@edgarblythe,
I love that one by Burl and Johnny, edgar. I had forgotten that peanuts were referred to as goober peas.

Remember when some character said to pogo: I'll fight you with all my might and mein. Pogo's response. Ah well; as Maine goes, so goes the nation. Razz

Guess what I'm going to play.

@edgarblythe,
That is funny, edgar. Never heard it by The Newbeats. Thanks for the comment on Peanuts.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag. Our mapleleaf/Gary is fine.

Good to see Toronto and London with us today. Maybe euroGeorge will be back soon.

I admire Scott Joplin.
My good night song features the Everly Brothers, their father and Johnny and Tommy Cash.

Ah, eveyone is always gone when Letty awakens.

edgar, loved your goodnight song, Silver Haired Daddy has a melody that is familiar.

Hey, Brit. That Irish Whistle was fantastic, and Robert Burns' haggis is one that brings back fond memories. Also enjoyed Tony Joe White's Agent for the Blues. Never heard him before and that song is wonderful. Thanks for the introduction.

Two songs for the early morning, y'all.

First, one that is similar to our edgar's Everly Bros. and entourage.

And now, a birthday boy.

Replete with lyrics in English.

This is just a little samba
Built upon a single note
Other notes are sure to follow
But the root is still that note

Now this new note is the consequence of the one we've just been through
As I'm bound to be the unavoidable consequence of you

There's so many people who can talk and talk and talk
And just say nothing or nearly nothing
I have used up all the scale I know and at the end I've come
To nothing I mean nothing

So I come back to my first note as I must come back to you
I will pour into that one note all the love I feel for you
Any one who wants the whole show show do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ci-do
He will find himself with no show better play the note you know
