@edgarblythe,
When I was a kid, the guy next door turned me on to Molly Darling, edgar.

Love that one by Harry, buddy. Been searching everywhere for the English translation. No luck. Must be Jamaican.

Thinking of the Kennedy's today, so my goodnight song is from Neil again.

So nice to see Canada, Ireland, and England with us today.

Goodnight world,

From Letty with love

I never really paid Neil Diamond much heed, before he recorded Sweet Caroline. But I learned to enjoy his music after that.
Well, here is Party Lights and a hearty good night to all

Morning Ms Letty,Ed and all WA2K peeps.Welcome to another feel-good Friday.
Kicking off with Teddy Thompson - He was born in 1976 in a London Sufi commune to folk-rock musicians Richard and Linda Thompson, both major musical figures in the English folk rock scene from the 1960s on. He is the brother to singer Kamila Thompson. He formed his own band at the age of 18 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career, which included work as a singer and guitar player in his father Richard's band during the 1990s. He appears on at least three Richard Thompson Band recordings from that time: You? me? us?, the live album Celtschmerz (1998) and Mock Tudor (1999), as well as singing a duet on the track "Persuasion", which appeared on Richard's best-of compilation Action Packed (1999). He can be seen performing in his father's band on a number of internet videos from as early as 1993, including an appearance on the BBC's Jools Holland show. He coaxed his mother out of retirement and co-produced her first album in 17 years, Fashionably Late.
He currently resides in and operates out of New York City.

Richard and Linda Thompson - I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight.

I’m so tired of working every day,
Now the weekend’s come I’m gonna throw my troubles away
If you’ve got the cab fare, mister you’ll do all right
I want to see the bright lights tonight

Meet me at the station don’t be late
I need to spend some money and it just won’t wait
Take me to the dance and hold me tight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

There’s crazy people running all over town
There’s a silver band just marching up and down
And the big boys are all spoiling for a fight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

Meet me at the station don’t be late
I need to spend some money and it just won’t wait
Take me to the dance and hold me tight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

A couple of drunken knights rolling on the floor
Is just the kind of mess I’m looking for
I’m gonna dream ‘till Monday comes in sight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

Meet me at the station don’t be late
I need to spend some money and it just won’t wait
Take me to the dance and hold me tight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

Take me to the dance and hold me tight
I want to see the bright lights tonight

First it's the moon that awakened me in the middle of the night, last night it was the lightening. I have never seen such odd weather.

edgar, Didn't know Party Lights by Claudine, but I had my own. Rolling Eyes

I liked "the jester's" Rainy Day Women, buddy, and thanks for your comment on Neil's song.

Hurry back, Texas.

Ragman, Welcome back to our radio studio. Boz Scaggs' Look What You've done to me was great. Nice to see you again.

Hey, Brit. So happy that you have the weekend off.

Don't know Teddy Thompson nor Richard and Linda, but I most certainly do know Alfie by Dionne, buddy.

The Isley Brothers' Behind the Painted Smile was awesome. Thanks for the info on all of your songs.

Today is Mac Davis' birthday, so here is one of my favorites by him.

edgar, had no idea that Mac wrote In The Ghetto. Fantastic. Thanks again for your comments.

I guess today is Mac day on WA2K.

Kiss it and Make it Better. How often I did that for my kids when they hurt themselves.

@edgarblythe,
Fantastic musical version of The Highway Man, edgar. I was supposed to read that at a forensic competition and awakened with the German Measles. I found out later that I could have died having had an incubation period of two weeks. Don't remember if my mama kissed it and made it better, however. Razz

Thanks again for your comment on Mac.

Another Mack, y'all.
