Wow! That was a great one by Yomanda, Irish. Don't know You're Free but it was fantastic. Thanks for the introduction and the comments.

edgar, Never heard Whispering Pines by Johnny Horton. I still have a couple of pine cones that I brought with me from Virginia, however.

Here's an answer to our Irishman's Limbo remark.

Aha! I found the one that I was looking for.

Whispering Pines a real fine song, a sing along song.
Loved the Byrds & Elvis, Miss Letty. Haven't listened to
Elvis in a long time. He really clicked in America.
Here's a beautiful song, I'll never tire of listening to this.

@eurocelticyankee,
Wow! That was one fantastic trip around the world, Irish. You sent me to the archives again.

Deep Forest is a musical group consisting of two French musicians, Michel Sanchez and Eric Mouquet. They compose a new kind of world music, sometimes called ethnic electronica, mixing ethnic with electronic sounds and dance beats or chillout beats. Their sound has been described as an "ethno-introspective ambient world music" They were nominated for a Grammy Award in 1993 for Best World Music Album, and in 1996 they won the Award for the album Boheme. The group also became World Music Awards Winner - French group with the highest 1995 world sales. Their albums have sold over 10 million copies. Thanks again for your comments.

Don't know why, but it reminded me of La Boheme.

@Letty,
La Boheme was amazing.
Here's a short one from Christy Moore. The video is
shot 5 minutes from where I live.

@eurocelticyankee,
euroGeorge, I watched and listened twice. That was fabulous, buddy. I started to play Barefoot in the Park, but decided against it. Squirrels and egrets are about all I have left here in my little corner of the world.

How about some barefottin in the Sand? Razz

@Rockhead,
Hey, Rock. Welcome back. Didn't know that "the big bopper" did that one.

I thought Phil Harris was the first, but we don't realize how old that song is. Listen to this one if you will. Shocked

@Letty,
The Byrds had a pretty good hit with that Dylan song. I know the Elvis song by someone else. Dionne Warwick, I think.

Goodnight, Irish. I am freezing so I'm going to say goodnight as well.

Here are my songs for the evening, y'all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLQq8SWZwpE&feature=related

I chose that one because of the bad news from there.

TUNIS, Tunisia – At least 11 people have died in clashes with security forces in new rioting in the North African country where unrest is in its fourth week, local union officials said Sunday.

The Interior Ministry, meanwhile, said eight people were killed over the weekend in the western towns of Thala, and Kasserine.

Rioting to protest joblessness and other social ills has scarred numerous cities across this tiny country since Dec. 17, after a 26-year-old man with a university degree set himself on fire when police confiscated his fruits and vegetables for selling without a permit.

Finally, I think we could all you some kindly light.

@Letty,
I didn't expect much with Barefootin in the Sand, but it was pretty good. Good sounds with Herbie Hancock. Lead Kindly Light is nice.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks Ed, have to say the song that most struck a cord with me today was
the lovely voice of Jo Stafford singing "long ago and far away", quality.

G'nite Ed.

P.S. your last one is blocked

@edgarblythe,
Got It, TY

Good stuff.

Bob's a legend, Keeping the ear to the ground for
any concerts this year, nothing so far.
If he does tour I wouldn't want to miss him, I don't think
you'll get to many more chances to see him.
Him & Leonard are top of the list for me to see.

Its looks like Bob Dylan is gonna tour again in Australia (after the 2007 summertour).
Bob Dylan is being announced as the headline act of Bluesfest 2011 at Byron Bay in New South Wales Australia.
The blues festival takes place around Eastern april 2011.

Just found this, but Australia is a bit too far, if I was going to
make that effort, I'd go to Africa instead. Wink
