Good morning from Florida, WA2K folks.

edgar, I love that one by Buffy. Never heard Guess Who I Saw in Paris, but it's obvious that it was a delight to her. (maybe).

ehBeth, Welcome back. I listed to the Fab Four's Getting Better. Then to this man.

Rascal Flatts is an American country music band with roots in Columbus, Ohio. Since its inception, Rascal Flatts has been composed of three members: cousins Gary LeVox (lead vocals) and Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, keyboard, piano, vocals), and JoeDon Rooney (lead guitar, vocals)

I would say there's a rather sharp contrast there, but the better part of America and England. Thanks, gal.

Welcome back to you as well, Brit. I just saw on the news that ice and snow was creating havoc in Britain.

Love Astrud's "transportation" song. She is still great. So long ago I sang Girl from Ipanema on TV. Thanks for the memory.

Ah, Brit. I love that Christmas state of affairs by Paul. Thanks, buddy.

A couple of songs for this AM here.

First, an oldie.

Lyrics, y'all.

Edward "Duke" Ellington, Bob Russell

Do nothing till you hear from me,
Pay no attention to what's said.
Why people tear the seams of anyone's dreams
Is over my head.

Do nothing till you hear from me,
At least consider our romance.
If you should take the words of others you've heard,
I haven't a chance.

True, I've been seen with someone new,
But does that mean that I've been untrue?
When we're apart,
The words in my heart
Reveal how I feel about you.

Some kiss may cloud my memories,
And other arms may hold a thrill,
But please, do nothing till you hear it from me--
And you never will.

Now a birthday boy, Keith Richards

I know what Keith is speaking of, 'cause I awakened quite early to the Christmas Party at the White House.

Never heard of Joe Pass before, but I know the song very well. Don't know Wewe Hours, but I like that kind of song.
Rascal Flatts are a very good group, but the Beatles are my favorite 99% of the time. Astrud Gilberto is always great. And I love Paul Simon about as much as the Beatles.

@edgarblythe,
Never hear that one by "The King", edgar. Thanks again for your comments.

Ah, a sad memory of dear Elvis.

Today is Brad Pitt's birthday, and I must admit, that I enjoyed Legends of the Fall better the second time that I watched it.

Here's a tribute to him.

I watched Legends of the Fall. My take on it, they spent lots of money and effort trying to make the script seem a lot better than it was. Brad Pit looked exceptionally good in it, though.

Hi all at WA2K, let me first say Imelda May is awesome & I will marry her if she asks, she gave a great performance.
Anyhoo I've spent the last hour catching up on all the songs I've been missing, some great stuff, enjoyed the Johnny Mathis double, deep river & silver bells, and Elvis, ED you know you're Christmas tunes. Also enjoyed The Highwaymen, I'd never heard them before.
Berry, Richards & Clapton, never thought I'd see them together, I've already booked my tickets to see Clapton on May 9th next year.
Oh and I see you love Brad, Letty. naughty.
Really liked Joe Pass, I'd never heard of him, played that guitar, mellow.
Barry, Paul Simon was great as usual But I really enjoyed Astrud Gilberto, lovely voice.
Beth I'd never heard of the Rascal Flatts, I don't think you could compare them with the Beatles, in truth I prefer the Fab Four.
Yet another two new acts for me Carl Belew, I'd say he'd be good live & Buffy St Marie, nice & a blast from the past Pat Boone, good stuff ED.
Enjoyed Marty Robbins & Andrea Bocelli, I've seen Andrea, Brilliant.
That's what I like about WA2K, Variety.

Here's Andrea with Sarah Brightman
