The last concert I went to of Bob Dylan's was held at the rodeo in Houston. I forgot the year. His band was superb, but whenever he stretched a note the most awful bleat came out. I left, because I want to remember him as he was the other times I saw him.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar. You know our kids. They hear and see things with new eyes. She said that she stood on her feet for two hours clapping, etc.The same with the audience at Ian's concert.

Thanks for the comment on R.L.S. I think that I read every book he wrote, and all of his poems, etc.

Don't know Barbara Mason, but that song was great, Texas.

Here's an answer from The Temptations.

Get Ready by the Temptations is a nice one too.

I don't recall if we have mentioned this snippet about Dylan - During an interview, he asked the time reporter, "Who do you like best, me or Caruso?"
Reporter: "Caruso."
Dylan: "I hit all those notes."
Reporter: "I prefer Caruso."
It was tongue in cheek on the part of Dylan, I think. He was putting on the man throughout the interview.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. Some reporters have absolutely no sense of humor.

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think that I shall do so with Billy and Sarah.

Goodnight world.

From Letty with love

Oh, I love Billy and Sarah and their song, too, letty.

Good morning from Florida, WA2K radio folks.

Wow! Our soccer George was on a roll last evening.

Hey, buddy. Loved Katmandu /Kathmandu by Bob Seeger. Escape the Cape, The Beach Boys' Surfin' and that version of Goodnight Sweetheart were also great.

edgar, thanks again for your comment on Billy and Sarah. Loved Ramblin' Jack's I'll Be Your Baby Tonight.

I had to smile thinking of how my mom used to embarrass me by talking to perfect strangers as we rode on the bus. When I went to the Tull concert, I did the same thing. One young man in particular I chatted with at intermission for quite a while. We talked about teaching and how worthless grammar was. He said that he failed it in high school.

Thinking of the short story also and discussed that. It is a very difficult genre of literature because of the compression and the need to capture the reader from the onset and leave them with powerful resolution.

One such tale I recall was Beware of the Dog by Roald Dahl. What a fantastic piece of writing, and the resolution was awesome.

Today is Aaron Copland's birthday, and I love this video of his writing.

@edgarblythe,
Good afternoon to you as well, edgar. I know Rob Roy but don't remember reading one thing about him.

Thanks for the comment on Aaron, buddy.

My word, Glenn Miller and his Tuxedo Junction. Love that, Texas. No one has ever found out what happened to him.

Sha Na Na and the Lennon sisters was a good one as well. Tonight You belong to me was great.

New discovery, folks. Today is Yanni's birthday. First a little info on the man.

Yanni (born Yiannis Hrysomallis (pronounced Chrysomallis), (Greek: Γιάννης Χρυσομάλλης, classical transcription Giannis Chrysomallis), on November 14, 1954, in Kalamata, Greece) is a self-taught pianist, keyboardist, and composer.

He earned Grammy nominations for his 1992 album, Dare to Dream, and the 1993 follow-up, In My Time. His breakthrough success came with the 1994 release of Yanni Live at the Acropolis, deemed to be the second best-selling music video of all time. Yanni has since performed live in concert before in excess of two million people in more than 20 countries around the world. He has accumulated more than 35 platinum and gold albums globally, with sales totaling over 20 million copies. Yanni is considered to be one of the top fundraisers of all time for public television. His compositions have been included in all Olympic Games television broadcasts since 1988, and his music has been used extensively in television and televised sporting events. His music is frequently described as "new age", though he prefers the term "contemporary instrumental"

From Yanni, y'all.

@Letty,
Beautiful music, Miss Letty.

I had lunch with Yiannis today (obviously not the same as yours).

Something different:

@Francis,
Welcome back, Francis. That was a lovely song. Don't know Nassy, but In My Heart was really good as were the visuals.

More synchronicity as today is Claude Monet's birthday
