Susan Christie - I Love Onions.

I don't like snails, or toads, or frogs, Or strange things living under logs, But, mmm, I love onions.
I don't like dancin' with crazy Ted, He's always jumpin' on my head, But, mmm, I love onions.

Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot.
Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot.

I don't like rain, or snow, or hail, Or Moby Dick, the great white whale, But, mmm, I love onions.
I don't like shoes that pinch your toes, Or people who squirt you with a garden hose,But, mmm, I love onions.

Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot.
Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot. Yeah!

The onion is a tuberous vegetable and is a member of the genus stinkus delicioso. It was highly prized by the ancient Egyptian pharaohs, and their friends and cousins-a. They cause watering of the eyes and rubifaction of the skin, but it is very, very tasty. (huhuh)

Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot.
Onions, onions, la la la. Onions, onions, ha ha ha. Root toot doodle-ee-oot doot doo doot.
How vewwy, vewwy cwude!

@Barry The Mod,

Yo, Baz
And other listeners
On the TV breakfast show this morning, there was a great young Canadian singer who has kinda modelled herself on Ella Fitzgerald, and who is singing tomorrow at the opening of the London Jazz Festival.
She was marvellous, what little I heard.
Must listen to the BBC next week to catch Festival highlights, maybe hear some more. Perhaps she'll be on Jools.
Nikki Yanofsky, that's it. I googled her.

Good early morning, radio folks.

First, allow me to say to our edgar that Big John by Ben Colder was hilarious. Thanks for the comment and the smile, Texas.

Hey, Brit. Sorry about the gale, buddy. Susan Christie's I Love Onions was marvelous as was The Swallow song by Mimi and Richard. Absolutely love You've Changed by Nikki, McTag and what a great voice. Hard to believe that she's only fourteen when she sang that one. Thanks, Brit.

McTag, Did you know that Vance Adair is a Scottish jazz singer? He is great.

Early morning songs, y'all.

First, thanks to the squirrel and the Chicago man, the music behind the Richard Burton tribute was this one.

@edgarblythe,
Hurry back, edgar. We all need to thank the squirrel and Joe for the background song on Richard Burtons' tribute.

Best thing to do is just remove the shoes before entering. I think the Japanese still do that.

Love that one by Tom Jones. I'm smiling now. Wonder what that woman will do with that hat. Give it to a cat?

Well, today my older sister and her husband will be putting flowers on the graves of our military folks in our ancestral cemetery.

Little Big Town - Bones.

What goes around comes around
Feel it breathin' down heavy on you
You made that bed you're layin' on
Deeds that you have done
Now you can't undo

You've got bones in your closet
You've got ghosts in your town
Ain't no doubt, dear,
They're gonna come out
They're waiting for the sun to go down
You can't hide from your demons
Feel them all lurking around
You're runnin' scared cause
You know they're out there
They're waiting for the sun to go down

It's a long and hard row to hoe
When seeds that you sow
Grow by the wicked moon
Be sure your sins will find you out
The past will hunt you down
And return to tell on you

You've got bones in your closet
You've got ghosts in your town
Ain't no doubt, dear,
They're gonna come out
They're waiting for the sun to go down
You can't hide from your demons
Feel them all lurking around
You're runnin' scared cause
You know they're out there
They're waiting for the sun to go down

Oh, it stands to reason
Every dog will have his day
Your day is leaving
Better hold on tight
Here comes the night

You've got bones in your closet
You've got ghosts in your town
Ain't no doubt, dear,
They're gonna come out
They're waiting for the sun to go down
(Waitin' for the sun to go down)
You can't hide from your demons
Feel them all lurking around
(They've got ya runnin')
You're runnin' scared cause
You know they're out there
They're waiting for the sun to go down

They're waiting for the sun to go down
Down
What goes around comes around
Feel it breathin' down heavy on you
