@edgarblythe,
edgar, you do play such awesome songs on our radio. The one for George Washington sounded Irish. Hmmm. he wasn't was he?

Conway Twitty doing It's so Good. He was great, Texas, and The Land, The Sea and The Sky was fantastic.

I cannot imagine George Burns and Bobby sustaining a father and sun relationship. I guess Bobby put a spell on the man.

The Beatles The Girl was dedicated to me, I'm certain. Razz

I cannot explain what a wonderful evening that I had in my Chinese silk pajamas. Some black dude from the island. (don't know which one) told me that I looked thirty. He was serious. (I think)

I was serenaded by Pocahontas who was beautiful but was from the Philippines. What a delight.

Just found out there was a popular song made from Bach's Minuet in G major, and I shall say goodnight with it.

The Toys

Goodnight, world.

From Letty with love and a smile of delight.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. Loved that You Were Meant for Me by Jewel, and Melanie's Brand New Roller Skates I really love.

Here's an answer to Jewel by Sting.

Up early this AM, cause I had to get the two kids from Orlando up so they could get to work on time.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! Your PD/Producer doesn't feel so hot today, edgar. I'm not used to doing that kind of late night partying.

I guess Blue Monday is better than Gloomy Sunday, Texas.

Never heard the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. East and West was great. Thanks again for your comment and and the introduction to that band.

Here's an interesting discovery. Bet you'll like this one, buddy. It's his birthday.

I finally found out that just as the white whale, the snow leopard is a metaphor for the search for the truth.

@Letty,
As I arrived in Athens today, I've been told that these guys have been here quite a few times:

@Letty,
There is a house I occasionally drive past, in Houston, which I have been told is Lovett's home. Don't really know for sure. I wish I had a haircut like his.
Got now Mr Richie Havens

@Francis,
Great one by The Scorpions, Francis. Watch out for those parcel bombs, buddy.

Odd that you would play scorpions just after we played Sting. Razz

I hope Ellinas is all right.

@edgarblythe,
You made me smile about the haircut, edgar. Wonder if it still costs two bits.

Great one by Richie Havens, buddy. Don't know that one by him. Sounds rather James Bondish. He sings great, however.

Here's one that I came across that I really like. Johnny also did it.

@edgarblythe,
Well, Texas, you sent me to the archives again.

William Edward John (November 15, 1937 - May 26, 1968 was better known by his stage name Little Willie John. Many sources erroneously give his second name as Edgar.He was an American R&B singer who performed in the 1950s and early 1960s and is best known for his popular music chart successes with songs such as, "All Around the World" (1955), "Need Your Love So Bad" (1956) and "Fever" the same year, the latter covered in 1958 by Peggy Lee.

Talk to Me was great. Thanks again for the comment and the introduction. He died at thirty.

Another birthday boy, y'all.

Never heard of him before, letty.
Gene McDaniels, who sang Spanish Lace on here the other day, sings about if he were a tower of strength.

Mr. Blythe inquired about Glenn Yarbrough and if i liked him

Through Children's Eyes an album by The Limeliters was on of my favourite albums growing up, eclipsed only by my love for The Clancy Brothers

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I had forgotten Gene and his Spanish Lace, edgar. He is great! Loved his Tower of Strength, but according to him he's more like a leaning tower. Razz

That guy was the lead vocalist of The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Now I remember why I know The Happy Wanderer. Louis Prima did it and it was also on The Sopranos which I never watched.

It's a "bell" boy's birthday, so since he belongs to Kool and the Gang.

One by them:

Walk don't run, edgar.

George isn't that a marvelous song? and Charles Trenet is fantastic.

Hey, dj. What a delightful song for children. Loved it, Canada. When I was a kid, we called them suckers.

Speaking of lollipops, here's a great mix by Herb Alpert.
