@edgarblythe,
edgar, Never heard Adele. She is good! (smiled at your allusion to Take This Job and Shove it)

When Ella doesn't do the scat bit, she is awesome. Her range is five octaves.

Speaking of movin' on, Here's the Singing Ranger.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't hear of Hank Snow until he did I've Been Everywhere, edgar.

Love that Race is On by George Jones.

Don't know these guys, but I really like bluegrass music, so here they are with another race.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, I love The Kingston Trio, but I don't know that every young man should go to France and drink that strawberry and raspberry wine. Thanks for that song, buddy. I love the tempo and the harmony.

Believe it or not, we used to eat little green apples when we were kids, and my mama used to fry them, too. I guess you know what the "green apple two step" is Razz

Love this song about them, however.

That's my favorite version of Little Green Apples. If memory serves, OC Smith also wrote it.

@edgarblythe,
Never heard that Freedom song by Little Richard, edgar, but I love to hear that man scream. He is a fabulous musician and vocalist. Long Tall Sally is still my favorite, however.

Great song by Jerry Jeff Walker. Never heard that one, but most guys like to own a pick up truck. Thanks for the introduction, buddy.

Odd, when I was a kid and my brother in law bought a pick up truck (needed one on the farm)I rode in the back of it and for some reason, I was ashamed to do so. My dad just told me: Just say "this isn't me back here." Laughing

Here's a marvelous freedom song, y'all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMsSEqsnugk

and the lyrics

When every heart joins every heart and together yearns for liberty,
That's when we'll be free.
When every hand joins every hand and together moulds our destiny,
That's when we'll be free.
Any hour any day, the time soon will come when we will live in dignity,
That's when we'll be free.
When everyone joins in our song and together singing harmony,
That's when we'll be free.

Frankly, I believe Kris has the right idea.

"freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose."

@Barry The Mod,
Damn, Brit. I love that one by Quincey Jones. He played the theme to Sanford and Son. I think you Brits called it Stepto and Son.

Well, buddy, white men may not be able to jump but they sure can play the flute. Razz

@Barry The Mod,
That's the kind of flute everyone likes.

Cheers!

Loved Paul Chesne's Pink champagne. There's also a blue variety as well.

Wonder where our edgar is?

Time for me to say goodnight, and I think I'll let Oscar jump with some symphony guy.

And because I am still fascinated with Saint Anthony, patron saint of lost things, I will add this lovely one too.

Another good morning here on WA2K radio.

Loved our Brit's goodnight song by Harry Hibbs.

edgar, thanks once again for the comments on what we play here.

Francis, don't know Kahimi Karie, but that was a nice good morning song.

edgar, Good Morning Sunshine was fabulous. Loved the visuals. I need to check out Bandari.

Today is Bizet's birthday, so how about a lovely classical piece to begin our morning here.
