Bad moon is rising out of the ocean. Nope, not going to play Creedence, y'all.

Well, there's soccer George back with us. Love that one by Hank as well, and The Velvet Fog is always good. I was thinking of how lovely your wife is. Did you know that Anthony LaPaglia plays soccer? and he's Australian. Funny, that. Michael Buble is a canuck. What great performers.

Thanks, dear edgar for all of your comments. Loved that one by George Strait, and Roberta's The Very First Time Ever I saw Your face was great, and thanks for the added info, Texas.

Gonna say goodnight with one inspired by JLNobody's comment "ob jet d'art" Razz

From Letty with love thinking of the "pink" flower.

Goodnight world.

I love the Village Stompers' song and Mel Torme also, George. Letty, I never heard Kenny do that song before.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, edgar, George, Izzie, Barry the Brit and all contributors on our cyber radio.

edgar, loved your goodnight song by Jerry Butler. I Stand Accused was great. Hurry back Texas. That one by Kenny Rogers was unusual because it's a jazz version. Never heard him do jazz before, and the back up singers were awesome.

My word, y'all, I watched an oldie on TCM . It was another about Jack the Ripper. Often, I think the oldies are the best, even though they are in black and white.

A brief review.

Many consider Brahm's 1944 remake of the Hitchcock silent film about Jack the Ripper to be better than the original! After a mysterious young man named Slade (Laird Cregar) rents a London flat, a murder spree begins nearby. Yet Kitty (Merle Oberon), an ingenue, ignores warnings about the crimes - or the man who may have committed them, and she soon becomes Slade's object of obsession in this pulse-pounder that "packs an unsettling punch."

Two songs for the early morning. First, it's "the big bopper's" birthday, so here is a tribute to that fabulous singer.

and it might as well be midnight here, 'cause it's still dark and another full moon is hanging in the northwest area of my sky.

So, how about Midnight in Moscow.

Nope, Francis, I didn't know that lady. Love the melody, however. Seems that she is from the Ukraine. I'll bet that's one even you can't translate. Razz

Tai Chi. Welcome back. Thanks for the introduction to Lighthouse's Little Kind Words. A great group, Canada.

Today is Kevin Kline's birthday, so here's a tribute to one of my favorite actors.

@Letty,
Thanks for Big Bopper and Moscow music. The Big Bopper tribute failed to mention that he wrote Running Bear, which was made a hit by Johnny Preston.

Lost, Miss Letty.

Even though it's not my forte, here is my loose translation..

I got used to living only by you... only by you...
To meet the sunrise and to hear how you wake up and not alone...
It became so easy for me to breath in the open window
And to repeat to her only one thing:

Do you know? Along the night roads
I was walking barefoot not caring about my feet
My heart is in your hands now
Dont lose it and dont break it
not to carry along night roads
Ash of love in your hands, wearing down your feet
Its beating is now in your eyes
Dont lose it and dont break it

And let grey rain beats into his window in January,
You hug me no more but let it still remember me
And let it say my name aloud by mistake
And let it be silent that it still remembers me
But outside, damn rain is burning the lanterns
my gentle boy Im so sorry for this shiver
And through tears I have whispered silent "farewell..."
Don`t forget, don`t forget...

Do you know? Along the night roads
I was walking barefoot not caring about my feet
His heart is in your hands now
Dont lose it and dont break it
not to carry along night roads
Ash of love in your hands, wearing down your feet
Its beating is now in your eyes
Dont lose it and dont break it

Do you know? Along the night roads
I was walking barefoot not caring about my feet
My heart is in your hands now
Dont lose it and dont break it
not to carry along night roads
Ash of love in your hands, wearing down your feet
Its beating is now in your eyes
Dont lose it..

edgar, Thanks again for your comments. Love that one by Sir Elton, buddy. Yep, we're blessed, Texas.

Francis, once again you amaze us here on WA2K. Russian is supposed to be the second hardest language because they have their own alphabet. Oriental is the first. Lovely barefoot lyrics, and "the heart in my hand" is especially nice.

Inspired by our edgar, here's another kind of bear and he's running.

@edgarblythe,
I didn't know that either, edgar. Are you surprised?

I do know that one by Del Shannon. My Little Runaway is Great. Thanks for playing it.

Well, here's a birthday boy that I know nothing of, y'all.

Lets listen to Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxLrgDBlKwI

Here's some info on the man and his kings.

Bill Wyman (born William George Perks; 24 October 1936) is an English musician best known as the bassist for the English rock and roll band The Rolling Stones from 1962 until 1992. Since 1997, he has recorded and toured with his own band, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. He has worked producing both records and film, and has scored music for film in movies and television.

@edgarblythe,
Marie Laveau was fabulous, edgar. I also looked at the other version and watched the photos. Never heard Bobby Bear, but I hope he's not "..another man gone..." Check out the other version, Texas. It ends with "paix y'all" Razz

Here's more voodoo with Ella at her very BEST and Cole Porter as well.
