Here is one of my very favorite Beatles songs.

Never heard Lou sing Girl From Ipanema. He covered lots of territory in his career.

@edgarblythe,
I like that one by The Fab Four as well, edgar. Still one of my favorites by them.

And another Yesterdays. Love this one by Clifford Brown. He died too young.

Yesterday is also a great song. The Beatles have a few I don't care for, but not too many.
I believe I have heard of Clifford Brown, but can't recall this fine music.

A song for Saturday night

@edgarblythe,
Good morning WA2K and edgar.

Before I acknowledge edgar's great music, I would like to announce that today is our Eva's birthday.

She's kicking up her heels, but probably not rising yet. Smile

HAPPY, HAPPY, GAL

Texas, I loved that movie song by The Drifters. I was reminded of Under the Boardwalk. Don't know Gary Moore, but I had to smile at the signature of "paradoxymoron". Great song and marvelous Irish performer.

Thanks again for you comments, buddy.

A couple of songs for the morning.

First, in memory of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Now, for the Brits and the Aussie who are lucky enough to be seeing this fantastic performance.

Not certain if this is the one they'll be seeing, but I think we all get the idea.

Letty will be there with you in spirit.

@Barry The Mod,
Marvelous, Brit. So that's what you meant by O2. I thought that was oxygen. Smile

Thanks so much.

Today is Kevin Richardson's birthday, so here are The Backstreet Boys.

@RexRed,
Hey, T Rex. Great song by Robert Cray. I can see why he's singing the blues, Maine.

Today is Chubby Checker's birthday, and I think most of us know that he took his name from Fats Domino.

Nope, not the twist, folks.

I took my kids to see the Backstreet Boys. They came home hoarse from shouting.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar. Thanks again for your comments and The Hermit's song " I'm into Something Good". I like that one Texas.

How about requesting that "the lady be good" via jazz.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBcjapFTR-o&feature=related

And the lyrics:

Oh, sweet and lovely lady, be good
Oh, lady, be good to me
I am so awf'ly misunderstood
So lady, be good to me

Oh, please have some pity
I'm all alone in this big city

I tell you I'm just a lonesome babe in the wood,
So lady be good to me.

Heartfelt thanks to Letty and edgarblythe for remembering my birthday. It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, and I am really enjoying the cooler weather. The boys are taking me to buy tulip bulbs, which they will plant in a few weeks. Then we'll have a big night out for dinner. What a great day!
