@edgarblythe,
Love that Sugarfoot rag, edgar. Don't know the "picker" but he was great.

How about a cup of tea? Nat knows where to take his sugar.

@Letty,
Here is/are one of my fave jazz duos: Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays - September Fifteenth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Lfb2qyFOgg&feature=related

Here's an awesome guitarist and tasty piano -- this arrangement is very lush. Bihari Bence, Hungarian guitarist playing the jazz standard "How Insensitive":

@Ragman,
Ragman, Welcome back. I cannot tell you in words how beautiful those three versions of acoustic guitars were. September fifteenth, How Insensitive, and Mediterreanean Sun Dance were so lilting , lovely, and different.

Thanks for the introduction, buddy. I did know one of them.

More jazz guitar, y'all.

Love that song by Nat, letty.
Ragman has good taste in music.
The tribute to Bill Evans is a good one, too.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, edgar. You are so good about acknowledging what we play here. Thanks, buddy.

Peggy Lee's Black Coffee was great, but not for me this evening. Instead, I think that I shall wait until "tomorrow" Smile

Sing about it, Peggy, then we'll salute the coffee later.

@edgarblythe,
Dear Fats. He was a wheel in a wheel, and he is somebody who is still with us. Thanks, Texas, for the comments and the memory.

Time for me to say goodnight and since I'm in a sentimental mood, how about this one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sR13ECD71xU&feature=related

and the lyrics, y'all.

Duke Ellington In a Sentimental Mood Lyrics:

In A Sentimental Mood I can see
the stars come through my room
While your loving attitude is
like a flame that lights the gloom
On the wings of ev'ry kiss
Drifts a melody so strange and sweet
In this sentimental bliss you make

my Paradise complete
Rose petals seem to fall
It's like a dream to call you mine
My heart's a lighter thing since you
made me this night a thing divine

In A Sentimental Mood
I'm within a world so heavenly
For I never dreamt that you'd be
loving sentimental me

Hope all of the delightful folks had a wonderful time at the Les Miserable concert.

To you all,

From Letty with love

edgar, I am really surprised that Tex Ritter did the original Blueberry Hill. Thanks for that info and your comments.

Good morning to all from Florida.

Brit, I cannot tell you what your message means to me. Can't You Hear the People Sing was fantastic, of course. It lifts the spirits and promises a better day for all of us.

How about a bit of Herbie Mann, speaking of spirits.

Thought of allowing Herbie to do Is Paris Burning, but decided against it.

@edgarblythe,
You're welcome, edgar. Smile

Several years back, I would have disagreed with you on that version of Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, but not now. (perhaps we can agree to disagree) The Platters did a great job with that one.

How about The Bangles doing Manic Monday.

@edgarblythe,
I know what you mean about Anne Murray, edgar. I liked Snow Bird by her. I guess it has to do with the setting event. Could I Have This Dance is lovely, Texas.

UhOh! You started something.

I love this one by Wilson Pickett, but these guys ain't bad.
