@dyslexia,
Well, cowboy, can't say that I like Van's first song that you played, but really like Into the Mystic. My favorite by him is still Moondance, however.

Today is J.T. Walsh's birthday and I saw Hoffa and really liked it, especially Kevin Anderson. Don't recall one thing about J.T., however.

Hmmm Peter Finch was born today as well, and I did NOT see this version of Lost Horizon. Something tells me that I'm glad that I didn't. Here he is singing.

@Letty,
I always like Liza and Van. Don't know a lot about Mastroianni Marcello, but I have seen him in a number of films.
Peter Finch was better than I expected. - Still, I am not a fan of taking every popular tale and making a musical of it.
This is my favorite Perry song, believe it or not.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks, edgar. We always appreciate your comments. Hey, Texas, I like that wheel song as well. Frankly, I don't believe that I have ever heard one by Mr. Como that I didn't like.

This is ONE of my favorites by him.

@edgarblythe,
Love Tony Martin, edgar, and I have been searching for the instrumental version of Domino for a while. It's by a Japanese artist. I particularly liked that song because it was my American Eskimo dog's name.

Another by Tony.

Tony Martin had a great voice, all right. Ike and Tina made some good music too.
I was never a fan of Marvin Gaye, but he had some songs I liked.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, We can always count on you for feedback, buddy. I like Mercy, Mercy, Me by Marvin. The visuals were odd, however.

Time for me to say goodnight as I feel a bit puny this evening. Think that I shall do so with two songs. First, another fantastic vocalist. Nat!

Now a Russian folk song.

Just found a song that I would like to dedicate to the world's Bankers....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-n8ITk6UWM
Show Of Hands - Arrogance Ignorance And Greed.

All I wanted was a home
And a roof over our heads
Somewhere we could call our own
Feel safer in our beds

There was a storm of money raining down
It only touched the ground
With a loan I took I can’t repay
And the crock of gold you found

At every trough you stopped to feed
With your Arrogance, your Ignorance and Greed.

I never was a cautious man
I spend more than I’m paid
But those with something put aside
Are the ones that you betrayed

With your bonuses and expenses
You shovelled down your throat
Now you bit the hand that fed you
Dear God I hope you choke

At every trough you stopped to feed
With your Arrogance, your Ignorance and Greed.
You're on your yacht, we’re on our knees
Through your Arrogance, your Ignorance and Greed.

Toxic springs you tapped and sold,
Poisoned every watering hole
Your probity, you exchanged for gold

Working man stands in line
The market sets his price
No feather bed, no golden egg
No one pays him twice
So where's your thrift, your caution
Your honest sound advice
You know you dealt yourself a winning hand
And loaded every dice

At every trough you stopped to feed
With your Arrogance, your Ignorance and Greed.
I pray one day we’ll soon be free
From your absolute indifference
Your avarice, incompetence
Your Arrogance, your Ignorance and your Greed.

Good morning, WA2K folks.

edgar, thanks again for your comments. That Mean Kitty Song was hilarious, buddy.

Well, our Brit has gone, but he does say "Laters".

Really loved Adrian Edmondson's London Calling. Just found out I'm Turning Japanese was done by The Bad Shepherds.

Wow! Show of Hands' Arrogance and Greed says it right, Brit, and The Boss'(Bruce) does as well. Thanks, London.

Three songs for the morning, y'all.

First, Bob Marley.(The Archies did this originally)

@Letty,
I didn't expect to like that version of Sugar Sugar, but it was all right.
I saw artists not listed in that great bands video - James Brown, for instance.
My Kind of Town, Chicago is - The guys does pretty well on that one.
Here is another Jerry Lee Lewis, with his sister Linda Gail Lewis -

@edgarblythe,
Jerry Lee did North to Alaska? I only recall that one by Johnny Horton, edgar. You always give feedback to what we play here, and it is quite helpful. Thanks for that version.

Here's another canuck song by Johnny.

Madeline Kahn (September 29, 1942 – December 3, 1999) was a Massachusetts-born actress, known primarily for her comedic roles. Director Mel Brooks — who directed her in four films — said of her: "She is one of the most talented people that ever lived... I mean, either in stand-up comedy, or acting, or whatever you want, you can't beat Madeline Kahn"
